Sub-I met Zeus and Germ in another game and yeh they are uncle and nephew. Cartoon has not joined my game. WHo are the other people you are worried about?

Submariner, players often get warned by mods if they post too many topics.

I counted six topics by you near the top. That accounts for more than SoW which is run by dozens. That means you are posting too much.

You should never have more than 3 topics on the forum. You should usually keep it to one.

Witch hunts are bad. Why start a flame war when you can just investigate someone privately with the cooperation of a mod. In future email one. chrispminis @ gmail.com and figlesquidge @ gmail.com are the most active.

But really? You're suggesting a 3 topic limit for each member? Forgive me if that's an established rule (I don't remembering reading it anywhere), but I think introducing a posting limit like that will only serve to add weight to the arguments of this forum's detractors.

I have to agree with with Mr. Pinguin, a 3 topic limit is not reasonable.

Oh for the love of god. Its not a RULE. Its just normal. Do either of you need more than THREE topics? You can post on however many you like. But actually creating a dozen that are either witch hunts or potential flame wars is kind of stupid. Am I wrong in this?

I agree to an extent - sometimes people should refrain from posting too many topics, and perhaps save their ideas until one of the others has died down. But then again, if they have something interesting to discuss, why does it make a difference if it's posted by them or someone else?

As for the 'how many topics': Sub has created 4 topics in one afternoon. I think one of the things people consider is how many of them do we need at once! Sure, interesting debates, but no need for too much. I'm not saying anything but Cent is right - someone has been banned and more than one have been given official warnings for spamming/flooding/trolling the forum.

But that's not the issue here. My objection was to your subjective assessment of the quality of Submariner's posts and your suggestion of a specific posting limit. Maybe you didn't mean it to be a hard rule, but when the older/well recognized members of the forum take it upon themselves to enforce unposted (but apparently 'common sense') metrics of post-limits and quality.. well that can do alot to deter new posters from contributing all together.

Fair enough. But I've seen this sort of behaviour before on this site. Players that are looking for a fight and try multiple angles to do it. I'm not saying that Submariner is looking to piss people off, but evidently he has. Everyone else that fits this mode of behaviour has been banned for pushing the limit (Tarablus, Diplomat).

I don't have a problem with ANY of his political posts. And I think that it should say in the FAQ that you should email a mod before making an accusation public. Otherwise it contributes to bad blood and hysteria. But as it doesn't each one of them is fine. But it is definately a lot and he should pace himself. Because forum reform or not, right now its a small forum where every thread gets noticed.

Two things, The cartoon account was admitted to being a multi account by the player who created half way through the first season of the game, so no witch hunt there.

Secondly, I'm being 'accused' of creating 6 threads near the top of the forum... I take that as a compliment that I am posing questions that people want to respond to.

As for emailing mods to complain about cheaters, I will certainly do this, but it would help perhaps if there was a link saying "click here to get a liost of email addresses". Until today, i thought the forum was the place where you were supposed to report cheats and I still right now don;t know the email addresses of any moderators.

Also, Cartoon admitted to being a multi account...? I would not have concluded he was a multi accounter based on the information I currently have...

It's not suspicious for a new player to join games like that because they might not know better.

At the risk of flogging this horse to death (too late?), I just want to say (again) that I mostly picked out your comment because I thought it was relevant to the other discussions and issues with the broader forum-updates/growth debate.

I really do believe you had good intentions, and I also don't want to be one of those strange internet guys who picks a fight everywhere he goes (i.e. a 'troll'). Apologies if that's how this seemed. :)
