Hi Steephie, one of my daughters is currently in Budapest on the Erasmus Scheme (no fees and a grant via the EU) - and yes it is taught in English. She is having the time of her life........and the uni is pretty good too with the teachers being generally more enthusiastic and commited than their UK counterparts :-). Look it up, I think that they specialise in science/engineering, but I am sure that they cover the arts too. Hope that helps.

Wouldn't you need to learn whatever they speak in Budapest to go through daily life though?

I've not been to Budapest itself, but for the most part Eastern European countries have a pretty reasonable grasp on English.

Okay, so maybe I should scrap the languages I speak off the requirements-list for now, given I don't have a clue who speaks English and how well..
Or maybe not? If a country doesn't have English, Dutch or maybe French as an official and/or standard language, it seems to me that I'd be less likely to get a job there, I'd get less useful international connections in general and I can't think of a particular advantage, apart from the fact that there's less universities to choose from if I add this requirement.. On the other hand, if it's much better/cheaper..

Anyways, back to the question I'm struggling with now: what's the next step?
I figured out my requirements and tie-breakers, how do I now proceed, eventually wanting to end up with one or various possible universities/studies without eliminating anything I should end up with?

Oh and to be clear Sicarius, 'who cares' was a reaction to the first of those 2 posts.

Traditionally you have a nice long chat with the person at school whose job it is to advise you about these things. I'm surprised you've not done that already, actually.
