@CT - Me neither. My first game was face to face, but we just couldn't find the time to finish it. That said, I've played a couple of pseudo f2f games. That is, we used this place for our orders etc, but all the diplomacy was conducted directly.

I can't say it's a cheap trip since the cost for a trip with return from Athens is about 500e (London costs 160e)

Damn there's a big midwest group already. I'm a little averse to anything more than an hour away by flight because I'm a broke student.

Spring or Summer and Peg and I will visit somewhere in Europe. If hellalt will rent out a place in Greece like the place in Mama Mia, my wife would beg me to go. :-)

I know ava, I'm broke as well but... i mean... I can save up for it if it's cool enough, and an international webdip thing is certainly cool enough

I don't know what the place in Mama Mia was like but it's really easy to rent a 4 room house in any island for 1000 euros/month (summer season, in winter it's of course a lot cheaper).

It was more a full villa/hotel with a goat house and many private rooms with their own baths. It wasn't a real place (built on a set) although they did shoot all the beach scenes and stuff on location in and around several of the islands.

I would be very interested in a f2f game. Im UK, the South East, 30 miles outside London and can travel, but id be up for a UK based game next year, doesn't take me that long to get to Cambridge either!

If this really starts coming together, I will volunteer to do some of the travel arrangements, like renting the large villa and chartering planes for us (haha, but we can always dream big, right?)

But seriously, I am a travel buff, I am renting a 7 room villa on St John for my extended family this March, so I know how to pull off the logistical details on this sort of thing and hopefully do it at a bargain , or at least reasonable, price.

However, I would need several months notice to put it together, and Jan thru March is the busiest time of year at my job.
