The irony of the whole debacle is the Hammonds, who committed a negligible crime, if any crime at all, are in prison. Meanwhile, the Bundys have been strutting around show casing their crimes for years and have no consequences. And their stunt outside of Burns is only detracting from the Hammonds' cause, not helping it.

The leaders at Wounded Knee - who were permitted by federal oficiales to "occupy" for the length of Waco and Malheur put together - were both acquitted and their charges dismissed by the judge in the face of prosecutorial misconduct, and allegations that they had murdered several of their own who were suspected of being FBI infiltrators were never investigated.
