poor sean, i guess you misunderstand, they're trying to help, and if you tell them to stop then they should.

also you can claim the credit in either case, i just don't know who you will be telling...
further by doing what your told, by having someone think of you as their servant, you get to surprise them when you do something diferent (like stabbing them)

You've complained in this thread about several things from that game, haha.

I don't appreciate it when someone tries to use sophomoric threats to convince you to ally with them.

Say, when a country that can't even reach you tells you to support them into a center or else they'll never ally with you and they'll attack you immediately as well - especially when at the end of the game they get mad at you for "choosing the wrong allies" (with whom you draw the game) instead of siding with them.

if u need somebody to forgive you after you've stabbed them then maybe you should be more careful about who you stab or maybe your diplomatic skills are not good enough. hate them by all means but look at yourself too.

@Pauly. You need to recognise that games aren't just about winning. When someone has stabbed you and you're clearly on the downhill you should agree that they are more powerful than you and help them out any way they instruct you to. You can probably survive on 4 or 5 SC's... if it's a PPSC game, then you can even make points...

Diplomacy is about winning or drawing (if you cannot win)
It's not to make friends.
If you want that go to Facebook.
If someone is going for a solo in a WTA game everyone else SHOULD stop him.

Diplomacy is abpout winning. If you can't win, draw. If you can't draw, survive. If you can't survive, influence the game and make certain the MFer who put the hurt on you doesn't win, draw, or survive either.

It's the unbalanced offer. I know you are supposed to start high and work your way down, but it has to be a reasonable offer to begin with otherwise I'm not going to take you seriously. Why would I so actively work against my own self interest?

I actually try to make all my offers close to equalk or at least of the "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today" variety. Quick, what is that a reference to?

I hate that I haven't played on the site long enough to find something to hate, and then tell everyone about. Then again, I hate how playing this game online deprives me of the momentary adrenaline rush of having moves read aloud and seeing the reactions to brutal stabs.

If you get a reputation of going kamikazi, people become less likely to stab you unless they are in a position to make it stick and destroy you completely.
