How much a year for a .com with 5 email addresses?

I feel like an idiot saying this now, but as it turns out, we have a different package from what I originally thought (it's stated in a vague way, hence my confusion), so I can only host one domain, so I can't guarantee cheaper hosting right now.

Still though, SYnapse, if you mail or PM me what you are currently paying and getting and/or what you would be willing to pay for my hosting, I can put you on a list and tell you when I've got a cheaper deal for you, if you want. With more people you can get cheaper deals per person, so that's why I want to set up a list for now. In fact, if you're in, depending on what you're paying now, I might already have a cheaper deal per person, although I would of course have to check with everybody wether we have a deal.

Sorry to disappoint you.

Also, why don't you send me what you promised to send me like a month ago.. :-)

Still no one looking for a website to be designed?

Apart from my current (happy!) client, of course :-)

I have permission from the client to show what's online so far, so now I've got a portfolio I suppose. Hold in mind this is work in progress, so there's quite a bunch of features still to come. Here it is:

I think abge means finish this one before looking for another project.

The answer is that I've found that there can be a decent amount of 'downtime' while waiting for answers/instructions/whatever. Since I still have a month of holiday and would also be interested in more work when the holiday is done, and since it could take a while to find clients as well..

Also, since there's no rush in the current project, I'm taking my time. If I know there's another project coming, I know I can earn extra by stepping it up, as it were.

So I think it would definitely be more productive as well as fun to run multiple projects at once.

Bump. I have a fair bit of experience now, as evidenced by this site made by me (not completely finished just yet though..) and I'll certainly be cheaper than 'professionals'. I can also help with things like fairly cheap hosting and such. Perhaps cheaper than what you're currently (planning to be) paying.

Some quick advice:
- copyright isn't on all pages as it should be
- make the emails clickable url's to open a draft window
- Making the site logo a hyperlink on the homepage to the homepage is useless and poor design
- your css classes are overly complicated, example (#body #content, #body #blog, #body #contact {)
- having a seperate class for every letter in the title is WAY too complicated, just add the css into the html code next time you need to do multi colors like that.

I'll stop there, but I'd work on cleaning some of that up before you use it as a reference.

@jmo: Yeah I certainly didn't get around to the details that are easily missed yet, I'm still adding pages etc. I do appreciate the advice though.

-The pages without copyright were pages I uploaded today and I missed that for a second. Thanks for pointing it out.
-Clickable url's are coming soon as well, I had quickly added the text which the client sent me today, not worrying about such details just yet. I'm on holiday right now, that should explain why I'm not thinking of details too much right now.

-That's a relic of the original template. I didn't bother to remove the classes yet, although, as explained in the code, nothing of the original template remains in terms of style and layout. It probably would have been easier to start from scrap since the client wanted pretty much everything different even though he said he thought that template would be a good place to start if I remember correctly.
-I suppose it is a bit complicated, but I probably saved a few bytes my way since the same title appears on every page in the end, and this also allows me to change the colours of all titles at once rather than making the changes to 8 pages if the client wants a different colour. So I don't consider that a really bad decision myself, although I certainly could have done your way as well and perhaps that would've saved me a little bit of time in the end.

Feel free to go on, but perhaps it's better to go on in PM :-)

I should note that some of the things that I seem to have missed are simply because the wi-fi here isn't very good and not all updates I make seem to get through.

That's what the client wanted. Surely you understand that I try to make it to my client's taste?
Also hold in mind it's a play centre for children. Children tend to like Comic Sans and neon colours more than you do, I imagine.

But the children will not be the people paying your client. :)

I don't think it's too much, but perhaps that's because I'm a bit closer to a child :P
