getting back in to Combat Mission
haven't played for a long time since I'm on a Mac and the classic CM games don't work anymore. I'm excited to see Battlefront has come out with new WWII CM. But they're a bit pricy. Not sure if I should get Normandy or Fortress Italy? Anyone play these games?

Alacriousness
Problem of politicians regarding Syria: the alacrity to do something. If Cameron and co just hold their breaths for a second, wait for what the UN has to say, wait for what other nations have to say, they'll get their mandate. There's simply no rush.

Sbyvonomics
In a perfect (i.e. Sbyvl-dominated) world, the economic system would be much better than it is today. Here are my five steps to fix the socialist playpen that we call America:

Who said there was anything wrong with it? Why don't you tell us how beautiful it is?

The fact that you dodge by pretending you're not using the implication as an insult says a lot.

Own up to what you just did, you used a slur, accused him of being trans* and/or gay, and implied that this is shameful.

You're a bigot.
Emac (0 DX)

The fact that you assume you know with certainty the mind is truly conceited. So please prove your point and describe the beauty and eloquence of sucking cock.
Sbyvl36 (439 D)

@Thucydides: It is shameful

You are implying I'm bad and you're implying it by saying I'm transgender and/or gay. What else is to it? Sure we can't scientifically prove it, but we all know what you said, what you meant and who you offended. Also I'm not even saying what you think and/or imply is wrong (although I imply it is), I'm just saying it's offending to certain groups. Tell me I'm wrong.

Anyhow, let us now talk about Foreign Policy. Here are my five steps for fixing our foreign policy.

1. Withdraw all troops stationed over seas, and put those troops on the Mexican border.

2. End all foreign aid to Muslim countries, but mostly Egypt.

3. Withdraw from the United Nations, and Withdraw from the Free Trade Agreement.

4. A trade embargo on China. Stop allowing them to become an economic superpower.

5. Do not perform any overseas military action unless war is declared by Congress. That means no "police actions" or "peace keeping missions".
Sbyvl36 (439 D)
25 Aug 13 UTC
But transgendered and sodomite peoples are bad, steephie.
Even as a joke that is a disgusting discriminatory statement Sbyvl and i hope you get punished by the mods for it.

"5. Do not perform any overseas military action unless war is declared by Congress. That means no "police actions" or "peace keeping missions". "

First, last, and only time I've agreed with you so far.

Sbyvl if you're gonna troll you have to be a bit more subtle, you're way to crass and obvious to be taken half-serious, even trollers have tactics & techniques, haven't you had your trollidays yet, they should have told taught you the basics.

Remember, this is the Nazi Simp that wants to imprison all "teh gays" in a remote location.

Going from there to actively wanting to exterminate them wouldn't be a stretch for our good Nazi Swine here.
Celticfox (100 D(B))
25 Aug 13 UTC
Sbyvl why do you care what other people do in the privacy of their bedroom?

Also, I'd be fine with pulling back from the world with our military but putting them all on the Mexico border is a little silly. We still do need to stay active within the politics of the world, we just don't need to be showing our force of arms everywhere.

Really .... is that what you really believe, that's like a mouthful of semen, very hard to swallow !!
Emac (0 DX)

Well I can do what steephie, Thucy, and all the other hollow, shallow critics can't do. I can describe the beauty and eloquence I asked from you.

I feel my partner's arousal, my hand senses the rising heat, the throbbing. I can't resist any longer and plunge my head. The salt, the moisture, the warmth arouse me. Explosion and trembling!

Now you tell me you cocksuckerphobic hypocrites, and you know who you are, who can walk the walk?
NigeeBaby (100 D(G))

That was in reference to Sbyvls comments about him expressing his opinion and not subsequent posts :-)

@Celticfox: Because it is morally wrong.

@Nigee: Once again, care to debate, or do I have to mute you like I did to Emac?
Celticfox (100 D(B))

Sbyvl It's not morally wrong to me or my faith. Actually, it's kinda a sacrament in my faith. Also, why do you care about what other people do when it isn't breaking the law or harming you? I thought you were for personal freedoms and you don't get any more personal then this.

Celticfox: Thats the ultimate revelation of the "conservative" mindset.

You go on about how we should get the government out of people's lives, but then turn around and want the government to impose a certain morality, or a certain faith upon everybody.

What they really mean, is they want the freedom to take whatever they want from those weaker than themselves (economically), and impose their own worldview on everybody (socially).

There are very few true small government conservatives. They exist, but they're the vast, vast minority.

@Sbvyl,- debate what, you have written a jumble of garbage that makes no sense to rational thinking human beings. I learnt this years ago, "never argue with idiots, they drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience"
Jack_Klein (897 D)

Celtic: I should have said "They" instead of "You". I'm aware we're on the same side on this issue, it wasn't meant to be directed towards you. :)

@Jack I understand. No worries here.

"Actually, it's kinda a sacrament in my faith."

Wait wait wait, what? What faith?? lol.

"Do not perform any overseas military action unless war is declared by Congress. That means no "police actions" or "peace keeping missions"."

Right, right. Because on the other side of our lines in the sand, human rights and human suffering and rule of law and justice aren't our problem.

No man is an island entire of itself.
Every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less,
As well as if a promontory were, or a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were.
Any man's death diminishes me,
Because I am involved in mankind.
And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls;
It tolls for thee.

@Nigee: Typical non-response from a socialist.
@Thucy: No, it isn't our problem. We have enough things to deal with over hear.
@Celticfox: So you're pagan, then.

I remember playing this once on webdip a while back, and thought it would be nice to try it again. If you are wondering how to play, the objective is to reach Ankara, without breaking any rules or conventions set in place by Stovald and Avalon Hill, if you need to brush up on the rules, you can go to your nearest distributor of the new updated edition ruleset
