The ground rules, Mujus, in terms of the topic and all are herein to be hammered out, I suppose...other than being Christianity v. Atheism in some way (and presumably involving God and the Bible, hard to have that discussion without those two) the field's wide open for whatever the main topic we wish to start with can be...

And as for the "rules," again, open for debate, I propose, again:

--500 to 1000 word opening statements, in alternate succession (Christian/Atheist/Christian/Atheist, etc., repeat until out of speakers)

--One 500 word rebuttal for each speaker

--Questions from those outside the debate

With those rules it sounds to be an absolutely entertaining thread to read.

I could do it, but honestly, I won't. There will never be an internet forum on which I can tell people about my faith that gets my point across better than if I do it in person. I think the same applies to almost everyone else, whether you're a Christian or not.

Can't we do something useful like the Epicurean vs Stoic debate, or Kant vs Hume or something.

Well, in any case, you can go off any way you want with it, Putin, I'm just saying, since we have all these "God" threads anyway, maybe we could condense and organize such a discussion in a structured way and see how each side would then fare.

Also, a Wars/Trek debate is foolish--

Trek is clearly superior (says the guy with a Wars name...) LOL

Trek/Who is the only real debate I see, both lasting comparably long and having comparably-large canons...

But even then, the Borg would kick the Cybermen's asses and Picard would bitchslap Matt Smith's Doctor, so...no contest, despite the awesomeness of one-time Holmes Tom Baker. ;)

David Tennant could kick Picard's ass any day though, and Star Wars has better derivative works than either of them.
