When I was very young, I had a book of elephant jokes. Here are the ones I remember:

What did Tarzan say when he saw elephants coming over the hill?
"Here come the elephants over the hill."

When I was a kid I found sick jokes hilarious. Here a couple of examples:

I think these are called anti-jokes

I feel like anti-humor is a bit soiled nowadays, people seem to go for overly morbid shock-value over the actual point of an anti-joke

I first heard those two jokes I mentioned in the early 1980s. I suspect extreme shock value jokes have been around a long time.
