Faster Than The Speed of Light.

Some breaking news yesterday from CERN that subatomic particles seem to have beaten the speed of light. Very exciting and, although CERN wants the results checked again before publishing, such an extraordinary claim that I thought I'd bring it to attention here on the forum.

Click on the game link and the names of players will be at the bottom. In an anonymous game, you'll just see the number of players. For non-live games, they start when the game is full, or they cancel once the time limit runs out. For live games, they start when the dead line is given, meaning all seven players could have joined but you still have to wait for a half hour.

@Jessica: You will see all of the people at the bottom when you click on the game. Your game will take several hours before ready, so it will begin once there are seven players who have joined.

@Everybody Else: Stop making fun of this girl people, she's new and I have no involvement so far. And what do you mean by "KA personality"?

Once 7 players join. You can see who has joined - go to your home screen. The game us on the right hand of the screen. Click on it and it will open up in it's own screen. Right now its you, me, Thucy and Sicarius. We need three more.

It can often take a couple of days to get a game started. Sometimes you get lucky and enough people join within a few hours, but I have had other games which have taken a week to start. If you want a warm up game while you are waiting you could find a live game thread and join one of those. This might be the quiet time of the day. There will a lot more people online later, once the Americans have woken up.
What country are you in? Which timezone?

Donor Status

Question- I have a bronze donor symbol by my name. Is this fair within the game? Does it help my play, grant me "serious player" status so my word gets respected? Or make me a target instead?

I know that I look for that symbol in every game I am now entering. I treat others different when I see it. Is this part of the "spirit" of Diplomacy?

Low Pot, High GR, Fun Game.

I'm thinking a 20-50

pot, with 7 reasonably high GR-rated players for a classic, full press, 36hr, password game.

Question about automatic disband for cd nations...

This last turn I expected cyrene and libyan sea to disband, according to the rules for automatic disband for cd nations.... Libyan sea, cyrene and marmarica are all 1 movement from egypts home supply centers... cyrene and libyan sea come before marmarica in the alphabet... is this a mistake or is there something i'm missing...?

Rule Change for the Forums

I have a suggestion. Why dont the Mods make a rule that bans obscene comments in the forums and bans anyone who makes one or at least fines them. THis will allow the people who want to use the forums for their intended, appropriate, use.
