Getting bored

Request a MOD for game cancellation

Perhaps I do not fully understand the rules concerning when a game starts, but I was under the impression that once all players joined a game, it would start soon. However, gameID=42381 has had all 7 players for the past several hours, and as it is getting pretty late, I imagine that many players, myself included, will not be able to enter orders. Therefore, can I request that a mod cancel this game?

This will be my first game start here, if I can actually get it started. I realize 3-day turns are a bit slow for you serious addicts, but think of all the chatting and intrigue you can get done!

Assuming you are having it happen in a World game, the problem has to do with the java script that calculates where all you can convoy from and to. As the game progresses, there are so many fleets and so many options, that the calculations take a very long time. This can screw things up. Change the units back to just holding and try again. Also, if a popup comes up and asks about the script, tell it to continue. Even if it pops up over and over again.

Also, if you are using IE, try using FireFox instead. If you are using FireFox, try Chrome. If you are on a slow computer, try it from a faster computer.

Thanks, but getting this message in a Classic game, have repopulated it, it is early on and am getting nowhere. The only good news is that it is a 10 day per turn game, so it might sort itself out in time!

That's very strange indeed. If you PM me the details I'll try and have a closer look sometime (inc which unit you're trying to set to convoy where etc)

change both units back to hold and save the turn. Then try the convoy again. Be sure to not stop long running scripts. This usually works in the few times I've had it come up.

It does occasionally happen in classic games. Setting the involved units back to hold and then set correctly has in the past worked. However, if you have time, I imagine Kestas would like to take a look at it before it gets cleared up.

Fig - the game is ID 40245.

I am trying to support an army into Balaeres from Saguntum with a fleet in the Berber Sea.

Draugnar - you said convoy. Does that mean the army has to be convoyed to the Balaeres? If it does, it might explain the script.

Alderian - I will try the reset thing, and see how I go!

Normally this bug comes up in classic games as a result of a convoy. But in the world game, it could come up on support moves as well I guess. fromTerrID is only used by support moves and convoys.

Oh, and yes. For an army to get to Balaeres, it has to be convoyed. This has been fixed on Olidip but not yet here apparently.
