My favorite was a game where I was England and my ally was Germany. We had been working together the entire game eliminating players while they fought amongst themselves. For some reason, Turkey believed me when I said I would work with him against Germany.

Here was his response when I stabbed him:

"Is this the same England. I think you need some drugs because you don't keep your word. You are a snake fucker

I didn't win - the guy who sent me that sent everything he had at me, and threw the game to the other power. I gained a few SCs, but didn't win.

The best I had was very short and sweet. After eliminating Russia w/ my ally (Austria), we began coordinating our moves northward through Ger/England. As he communicated his exact moves, I basically moved all my units into every SC he vacated. He sent me a very short message:

Have you no shame.

hellalt was in an anonymous game with me... And I thought I had a mouth. He reminded me a lot of Phil Helmuth (pro poker player). Everytime he would lose and SC or do a stupid move, he'd call his opponents names. Like anybody was really going to work WITH him when all he did was berate them. Once he was eliminated, the three remaining players did a draw. The irony is, I kept calling him Draugnar (although I knew he wasn't me, and in fact we had figured out by accident who the two of us were) and he was actually giving me a worse name than I could have ever given myself. And he only made things worse when he repeatedly denied that he was me. Check out gameID=13363 for all the sordid details.

I played this game last year....that I ended up winning. I got into a situation where I was Russia and I had both Italy and Turkey as an ally and it got the point where Austria was eliminated and it was time to choose. I was fairly conversant and personable with Turkey. A few days before the stab, I mentioned I had grandchildren...here's what happened:

I usually find dumb people around, which I don't mind stabbing, but it kind of hurts me to stab some person that seems an intelligent and educated individual. Though, it's astonishing how a well timed stab can throw away that education :)
