I wonder which team is more nervous now, considering what happened with PSG

As a Barça's suppoter, I dont expect another miracle.

Great match for Juve.

Juventus has a much more experienced back line than PSG, so i don't see them having a complete collapse. Also Allegri did a great job playing Mandzukic, he played by Khedira and did a great job breaking up play, and even Pjanic got stuck in with some challenges.

The problem is going to be with width for Juventus, the Nou Camp is notorious for Neymar and Messi playing along the sidelines breaking with pace past midfields.

He went with a back 4 this game, but i think Juve could benefit from a back 3 this upcoming match, and make sure their wide players stay wide and don't get narrow.

Meanwhile Barca had a weird back 3 formation, and Cuadrado had a time of his life on the right, and Mandzukic outmuscled Roberto on the left. the only cover the back 3 got was Mascherano, and he's no match for Dybala AND Higuain.

What I think the next leg should look like:

Mascherano I've never preferred at defensive mid, and Busquets coming back will be a great relief. Meanwhile there's not much to do in the midfield with Turan and Rafinha injured, but the back line will benefit.

Juve needs to have a strong side to push Barca off the ball away from home, but I can see Cuadrado keeping his spot

to be fair, Iniesta was much worse than Mascherano, and didn't help in the defense enough. Maybe Gomes could start, but Barca needs to take the game to Juve...

I am a Barca fan but cannot see them recovering. Juve is Italian team, they can play for hundred years defending the 0 without getting bored in the process.

That Barcalona didn't get eliminated last round is not a miracle, but criminal. Two wrongly awarded penalties made that possible: that game was rigged. I mean one wrongly awarded penalty, okay. But two? lol. I know why the UEFA and FIFA keep blocking video refs..

To be fair PSG managed like 3 successful passes in the last 10 minutes as they utterly imploded, so they also brought it on themselves. Juventus are far better than PSG though.

Not soccer. Football. The real thing.

UEFA is blocking the video reffs probably because of money. It is considered as peoples sport where you only need a ball and few bricks to act as a goal to play. Having sensors and video reffs would turn it to elites sport. And it takes a huge amount of money to implement that system. When you remember how many clubs played in continental competitions without having basic logistics like sitting places on the stadium or decent grass, how could they afford fancier stuff.

i don't think you understand how little video replay actually costs. Compared to 60 years ago, there are SOOOOO many other costs that hurt small clubs, from stadium requirements to the type of grass they have... video replay would me this no more of an elitist game than before.

It's not Detracting from the quality of smaller games, rather it's helping larger games. It's not as if my Sunday league team is going to be like "what?? We don't have sensors? Might as well not play!"

No, we play with what we got, and I'm not going to be stingy and demand that billionaire clubs cant check a video for 20 seconds to see if someone messed up, because WE'RE incapable.

Besides, corruption for referees is a MUCH bigger "elitist" problem, so holding them accountable? I 100% support

Possibly I am wrong, but when I see some clubs moving matches from late afternoon to midday to cut electricity expenses you started to doubt they can afford anything else.

Maybe, just maybe if they transfer the funds prepared for buying referees to buying equipment all problems would be solved?!

personally, this doesn't seem like the most contentious issue to me, however we already saw Deulofeu's goal fairly awarded with the video replay for Spain. I understand there are some budget problems, but at the end of the day, those come down to a long history of mismanaging finances.
