How does the game work? Is it a battle game like A&A?

Small world! I drive by that place every day. Really must check it out sometime.

I haven't played much A&A but, from what I gather, it's similar. The rules and mechanics are very simple.

Basically, you have 6 different possible units. When the units enter the same space, you roll dice from the strongest creature to the weakest. For the strongest creature, a 2+ counts as a hit and one of the enemy units dies. For the weakest, you need a 6. Beyond that, the units have a few special abilities and there are some 'energize' cards that you can use for once off boosts.

Just really simple and best of all it works for 2 players. I'm so often looking for a game that doesn't lose it's appeal when you play 1v1 and this one really doesn't.

TB, I really would if I were you. If you're going on the weekend or a busy evening, expect a wait time of 1-2 hours but you can give them your number and they'll call you when a spot is free.

It might be difficult since I live an hour away from the downtown. But thanks for the advice :-)

One of the few games that works equally well with 2, 3, and 4 people.

Nexus ops became very expensive for a while but a reprint from fantasy flight games has been announced so prices are more reasonable again. New version won't have the pieces that glow under a black light though =)

The people that opened Snakes and lattes posted a bunch on boardgamegeek when they were starting out. Glad to hear they are getting some patronage
