I remember there was one specific thing you said once, like a single post, that I then informed you gave me carte blanche to never take you seriously again, and also to constantly attempt to make your life slightly worse.
It's been so long though I've totally forgotten what it was. I'm struggling to make the connection; unless the lack of severity of the injury is what allows it to be more humerous. I'd like to think you would not have found it as funny had the off-duty cop gotten seriously wounded or killed.

I;m sort of in a flippant mood today and can not be taken too seriously.
it has more to do with the inherent violence in the profession of a police officer.now I'm not saying we shouldnt have anybody, some system, worked out to go and deal with rapists etc. but police are tools of the state used to supress dissent. They are the bulldogs, the thugs of the powerful, they protect the status quo. Police are not about crime prevention they are about control. They are the enforcers of a system that exploits us all, that is toxifying and commodifying our planet. They are always the ones to bust the strike, tear gas the march, evict, arrest, mace, taze, shoot. they are the enemy of the common people. I'm very much of the opinion that cops need to "get the fuck away from me". or to put it more succintly I think we need to, as communities, come together and figure out a better way of keeping each other safe. Because as it stands the police are the oppressors. If you dont think the police are an occupying force, if you think the police are your friends you are probably white/straight/<middle class/cis-gendered/etc. and should maybe spend some time in one of those "minority" neighborhoods.

@Bitemenow - Was it a left or a right and were you in the states? I ask cause there are very few places in the US where you can't trun right on red as long as you come to a complete stop and give the right of way to any other traffic.
