In the WESTERN CONFERENCE...
1. Canucks vs. 8. Blackhawks (Canucks in 5, Chicago just doesn't have enough left...)
2. Sharks vs. 7. Kings (Sharks in 5, I do NOT have confidence in the Kings' attack given its recent drought)
3. Red Wings vs. 6. Coyotes (Wings in 4, the Yotes are swept--swept away for good, back to Winnipeg...)
4. Ducks vs. 5. Predators (Ducks in 6, the Preds have tested the Ducks at times during the yhear, but Anaheim just has too much firepower)
Second Round...
1. Canucks vs. 4. Ducks (Canucks in 7, the Ducks have won late in comebacks a LOT lately, but Vancouver just has a bit too much for my Ducks...hope I'm wrong!)
2. Sharks vs. 3. Red Wings (Red Wings in 4, I just get the sense San Jose will get blown out here)
Western Conference Finals:
1. Canucks vs. 3. Red Wings (Canucks in 7, Detroit takes it deep thanks to veteran experience, but this is Vancouver's year)
EASTERN CONFERENCE:
1. Capitals vs. 8. Rangers (Rangers in 6 in a STUNNER, they're playing for their lives now and I don't buy the Caps in the playoffs AT ALL)
2. Flyers vs. 7. Sabres (Flyers in 5 in a relatively-easy set for Philly)
3. Bruins vs. 6. Canadiens (Canadiens in 6 on just a hunch...)
4. Penguins vs. 5. Lightning (Lightning in 5, without Sid the Kid, I think the Pens are ready for a fall)
Second Round...
2. Flyers vs. 8. Rangers (Flyers in 4 as New York's Cindrella run hits midnight, out of gas...)
5. Lightning vs. 6. Canadiens (Lightning in 6, the Habs challenge but Tampa's Lecavalier comes through as always)
Eastern Conference Final...
2. Flyers vs. 5. Lightning (Lightning in 5 in a shocker--pardon the pun--as the Lightning, I think, are really underestimated, and it'll cost the Flyers.)
STANLEY CUP:
CANUCKS over LIGHTNING in 7 (A GREAT Cup final, with Tampa taking an early lead, but losing it to the Sedin Twins.)
Bonus shots from around the league:
-The Coyotes plan FINALLY fails and the team goes back to Winnipeg, either to become the Jets again or hoist a new name (though the return of the Jets would be nice)
-Atlanta goes up for sale and starts the 2011-12 season in dire straights, and could wind up in Quebec in a year or so...
-The Islanders make some sort of large move to attract some desperately-needed fans and attention back
