to the various commenters... yes, I did talk quite a bit inthe WWIV game, it was actually going pretty well for me and I was at 9 dots so I will miss it.

as for the world map game I was in, it was very different than many of those being described here... i was in the one with USA and Canada at 19 and Ghana at 18... all 3 of us were making 3 gains a turn pretty much.

but truly - i'm not a fan of that variant... the inability to build anywhere but your home dots, and the general positions of the provinces made it very uneven I thought... not to mention the idiocy of having 7 supply centers in antartica... that alone should disqualify it as a serious variant ;)

So, let's vote: who thinks Western Canada and I (Quebec) should most certainly stab USA in the very next turn? ^__^

I personally prefer Young Zaphod plays it safe out of the three last Hitchiker Books. Douglas Adams was on so many drugs they're hard to keep straight though.
