I hear Budapest is a great travel destination, but since I can't visit it in real life (at least, not yet), I'll have to make do with travelling there on the Diplomacy board. Let's just hope I don't get England...

Gunboat, Anonymous players, 1 day phases, 15 point bet. Should be good fun, as long as you're not Austria
I hear Budapest is particularly lovely this summer

Re: I hear Budapest is particularly lovely this summer
Hey, I have it as the first leg destination in my fictional The Amazing Race series
Re: I hear Budapest is particularly lovely this summer
I was born, and still live, in Budapest :) (In real life :)
Come and visit, whenever you can! It's a fun place to be, I'm sure you would enjoy it, even without putting a few of your tanks here to conquer

Re: I hear Budapest is particularly lovely this summer
I'm going on Wednesday. Where should I go for beer?
Re: I hear Budapest is particularly lovely this summer
Depends on what beer you like. But if the beer is secondary, then I would suggest try "Pontoon" or "Raqpart Bar" as a start. They are next to each other, outdoor, quite different styles both in music and guests, so hopefully one of them fits you. If you are up to Czech beer go to "Pivo bar", if you preferred Hungarian Craft Beer, go to "Lehuto Craft Beer Bar" or "MONYO Tap Bar". Sadly the latter three are semi-outdoor spaces, and only open till midnight I think. In case you just want regular beer and crowd while being downtown and outdoor, then go to "Froccsterasz" or "aquarium".
One thing is for sure, you won't have a problem finding a perfect pub for yourself in this town. We probably have more pubs than people in this city :D
Enjoy!
