It's not about his persona. When he's town he actually manages to say something that requires thought (even if it's wrong AF), he hasn't done that yet. He hasn't shown any ability to think about the game. He's just mindlessly spamming. That's very on point his scum persona vs his town one.

Well, here's some thoughts:

(1) He is still dodging the question. You can find both fun but everyone still has at least a slight preference for one alignment. Nobody is a perfect bisexual.

(2) "the objective is the same: pretend I know shit going on". That's not a good objective as either alignment, and he probably knows it. As town you don't want to pretend anything, you want to be as genuine as possible so other town can read you properly. And as scum you have to pretend you don't know what you do know, so it doesn't work either.

(3) You accept his bs answer without any challenge.

When trying to research this, I discovered two things. First, in the "Mafia Scoresheet", ND is incorrectly scored as scum in M40 and M41. Second, I found no instance of ND bussing D1.
