Re: M45 GM?
no way in holy hell I would ever play another pure vanilla game though. They are awful and only a tiny, insignificant, fraction minority of people actually want it. It's sad, but true.
Re: M45 GM?
yo chill
when we say vanilla on webdip we clearly mean that it's a simple mechanic game without 20 million fucking power roles and items. not that there isn't any roles whatsoever. I don't even remember doing a completely pure game on webdip
Re: M45 GM?
You should note that Im arguing for a classic setup not a mountainous. lol.
im not among the hordes of folks who demand a mountainous game. I was simply making an appeal for my personal fave oracle/gunsmith. which is a weak cop and weak vig essentially
Re: M45 GM?
I ran M33 mountainous madness where scum won. It was a purely vanilla game no roles.
Re: M45 GM?
Vanilla means simple and classic, not no PRs. Percy and emc volunteered to run this game and they're going to have all the same challenges that every other GM duo has in the past, so please don't cause too much trouble for them.

I imagine Durga could snap you in half with one hand while eating a sandwich with the other.

Re: M45 GM?
After sleeping on it, the idea occurred to me:
17 players
13 town
12 vt
1 doc
+town factional roleblock in the day that they vote for, in addition to lynch
4 mafia
3 goons
1 traitor doc who doesn't know teammates, but has the same ability as normal doc, except that it applies to lynch: they can choose to "save" someone from lynch, in which case that day the lynch would go on the 2nd leading wagon.
It feels vanilla enough, but not sure how balanced it would be. Thoughts?

That's an interesting setup. It is not Vanilla at all though.e.m.c^42 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2019 11:31 amAfter sleeping on it, the idea occurred to me:

I agree, great setup, but probably a deviant set up from vanilla.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2019 11:58 amThat's an interesting setup. It is not Vanilla at all though.e.m.c^42 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2019 11:31 amAfter sleeping on it, the idea occurred to me:

Re: M45 GM?
Mhh it's not really that large of a deviation though: it's still the same mechs as a game with just doc/rb?
Who was it that really wanted the vanilla game? All that comes to mind is Durga - so if you approve this should be ok :D

Vanilla with chocolate chips! Vanilla with twix! Neopolitan-mint-fudge-cookie-rainbow swirl vanilla mix!

Re: M45 GM?
Town having a factional Roleblock is very unusual and is certainly not Vanilla in any way whatsoever.
