Now, what is the World Cup? It is a two-stage team tournament that is based on your country of residence (or origin, identification, etc etc). Teams of one gunboater, two full press players, and a public press player compete through a qualifying round to advance to the Finals (which should hopefully occur in time for the actual World Cup). More details are to be found on the tournament site here
A few details on the tournament:
- Games will be 36 hour phases.
- Games in the opening round will be forcibly drawn in 1920, and games in the finals drawn in 1930
- All teams need to have a captain. The captain will be the primary contact I will communicate with
- Teams are encouraged to have substitutes. Subs can be swapped into the tournament in between rounds, but primarily serve as backups in case one player is unable to continue
- Team play is encouraged! Talk to your teammates, they are the best (and only allowed) resources you have!
- I will not be participating in the tournament this time around (RIP Team Mid-Atlantic)
