There's a difference. Cop can scan all mafia, the alien cop only scans for aliens. Also, there's still a chance Ezio is town with his claim, while a town hard claiming mafia is much worse play.

I'm fine with Ezio dying today, he's going to be lynched at some point, so a day one lynch when we have less info is fine. I just don't want everyone piling on him and making day one easy for scum to blend.

and if the NK doesn't happen it means that the target got healed, hence conf town (assuming alien dies here, I suppose if Ezio isn't alien then the target for NK could have been alien but whatev)

He did say 4pm Central, which is incorrect. 10pm UK time is 5pm Central. He has been posting vote counts and everything pointing to EoD in 1.5 hrs.

I also agree with Qas, I was expecting Ezio to retract and if he doesn't retract I think lynching him now is the best choice (probably shooting him is even better).

Actually, don't answer my old question.

Ezio made clear on page 31 that he is not retracting his claim. You reiterated on page 33 that you think he should be the lynch today. I made a concrete and clear case as to why he shouldn't be, to which you never replied. You are now saying that you were expecting him to retract when you already knew that he wouldn't because he made that painfully clear.

So, given that he isn't retracting, why is lynching him now as opposed to later the best choice?

Because today we have less info to inform the lynch. With the itens, PRs, night actions it's pretty likely we have more info tomorrow to inform the lynch and if we have to lynch the Alien we just lose momentum.
