That question was for Xorx btw, but thanks for answeringSquigs44 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 05, 2018 5:27 pmIt isn't so much that Xorxes hasnt solved the game. It is more his posting style that bothers me. Every single post of his has been a short comment.Fluminator wrote: ↑Wed Dec 05, 2018 5:17 pmThe burden of having the "good player" meta.Squigs44 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 05, 2018 4:46 pm
This post is just so weird on both parts. The first part seemed like a forced joke, and the second part others have talked about already, why bring this up?
Has Xorxes actually solved anything for us yet? A lot of his posts are one or two word phrases like "buddying", "townie post", or "good observation", and his longest post is like three lines long. Xorxes usually has at least one detailed post by now where he assembles a scum team.
See, xorx is a solid null right now for me, and I think a lot of the scumreads are just people expecting him to be better. Is this fair xorx?
Do you feel like you're struggling more this game than average?
I think I am struggling at just about the same level as other games this early in the game. My D1, D2 has never been good.

Don't worry about defending yourself right now Balki. Just give us your reads. If they're good I'll plop you in my town category. Defending yourself probably won't.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Wed Dec 05, 2018 8:03 pm+1
I’d like Ezio to answer this, and explain why he thinks the point is AI.
Re: Mafia Invitational - Welcome to Wakanda
Flum, what conclusions would you draw based on how Squigs flips?
Re: Mafia Invitational - Welcome to Wakanda
Uh this was vecnas good post about balki.
"Balki is just in full on scummode. Trying to ask for a mass-claim. Poking at Ezio's words to try and frame it in a pro-scum way. He came on before EOD, asked for people about a potential vote, probably saw that Squigs was gonna be alright, so he just vanished.'

Re: Mafia Invitational - Welcome to Wakanda
Could you give an example of play style changes.
He’s still asking a ton of questions. And the shift to more serious questions is consistent with the strategy he stated at the beginning of the game. Starting with easy questions to build a baseline and getting to more serious questions.
Coming in with a clear plan of attack/following through could a sign of him trying to consciously shift away from his scum meta.
But I think his play has been consistent thus far throughout the game.
I agree with points 1 & 2 though. Tom has been a great when I’ve played with him previously. With him confirmed town I trust his reads.
I think 4, is as someone else said a giant hole of WIFOM.

Do you actually buy point 4?Fluminator wrote: ↑Wed Dec 05, 2018 8:04 pmchoo choo! All aboard the squiggs wagon.
1. Lots of EOD analysis info if he dies + good chance he was scum protected (no scum voted for him at eod at the least)
2. Many players with more experience playing with him thought he was scum based on meta. (Including conftown Tom who I've found to have very good day 1 reads)
3. His playstyle and posting noticeably has changed after he started getting suspicion. He started casual and he seems completely stilted now.
4. Weird wifommy "asking dead Tom" that suspicious people are trying to town read him on?

Re: Mafia Invitational - Welcome to Wakanda
Knowing if it was scum vs. town or town vs. town is always pretty solid. It tells us if scum care who went home or not. Then we can look for the people who were feigning interest in the wagons or feigning lack of concern their buddy was almost lynched.
Re: Mafia Invitational - Welcome to Wakanda
Like I get disagreeing with the assessment, but thinking scummates would try to get him towncred by lauding a fake townslip themselves doesn't make sense to me.
Re: Mafia Invitational - Welcome to Wakanda
Gah.
Hey ghug, do you have a past game where flum was scum? I'm getting worried he's too good at this game.

Thanks Ezio. Can you tell me why you think his post is “good”? What do you find to be AI about my play so far and why?Ezio wrote: ↑Wed Dec 05, 2018 8:14 pmUh this was vecnas good post about balki.

4 is wifom, but the fact so many people are townreading him over it is strange.damian wrote: ↑Wed Dec 05, 2018 8:14 pmCould you give an example of play style changes.

I found Squiggs was very casual and laid back and just generally enjoyed chatting it up, both outside the game and at the start. He's strictly gamebot right now.

1) Do you get EOD1 info when I flip town?Fluminator wrote: ↑Wed Dec 05, 2018 8:04 pmchoo choo! All aboard the squiggs wagon.

2) I've played two days with Tom, both day ones, and both where I was a different role.
3) Fwiw, I've vomitted three times in the last day, and have less time than the weekends.
4) Honest mistake that I don't blame you for being suspicious of.

Re: Mafia Invitational - Welcome to Wakanda
No. I’m not townreading Squig.
If anything I think I convinced myself he was more scummy while writing my last post. (Coming in with a consistent plan of attack and following it through being scum indicative due to him being upset with this previous scum meta.)
But, I think Flum’s point 3 is wrong. So I’m curious if Flum has anything to back it up.
