Happy 40th! I remember mine like yesterday.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 11:28 amI'm going to ##Vote Maniac
Note 1: Today is my 40th birthday and I cannot promise that I am especially motivated to spend the evening of my 40th birthday in the company of you humanoids. Therefore I cannot promise to be around at EoD. However I think Maniac is a solid wagon at this point in time.
Why are you voting Maniac? I assume that your early post of "Maniac is town" was...? Tongue in Cheek?

You don't say why.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 1:41 pmI am still 6 pages behind and have to work.
My top scumreads now are Dargo and HB. Damo is still on this list but far down.
Townreads are Kgray, Brain and Yav.
I am torn on Food and Bona.
One of Ghug or Vecna might be scum, there is something in their interaction that don't fit but it's not for today.
##vote Dargo
Kgray is voting for me because of kak's tinfoil hat... And because, as far as I can tell, I was wrong. That might be ironic...
Kak has not asked me anything... But has asked others ABOUT me. That feels like a scummy investigation method...
I've had my vote on maniac because he was a low poster, and his posts were weird. But I maniac is better than to scum lurk so obviously.
I could vote today for bona or kak, but adding omgus to my mix, I will
##vote kakarroto.
I hope to be on near eod.

Something to be said for someone owning their OMGUS with their vote.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
I'm happy to play with celaph again! Our time together last game was cut so short, and before that we'd had a minor disagreement over who rightfully owns the Russian home centers...Vecna wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 6:41 amTaking a mental note of this post. Also noting Celaph hasnt done his happy posting yet. While Kgray is in the game again.celaph wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 12:19 amWhat I dislike here is that you're framing this as an achievement or a gotcha while totally removing it from the context that it was in. The post you're quoting was from 3 hours into D1. Food has found kak fun on the basis of a single message at the time, that message being the one encouraging people to engage in the flavor and play as minor gods. The hardly qualifies as a real defense.
Has kak been wacky or fun since then? Obviously not, he hasn't done anything. But given the timing and context that says very little about food imo.
Id have expected the two of them to be happy to play together again. Yet they have foregone all interaction alltogether?
Does this mean something?
I did call him out for not trying hard enough to pocket me, and now that I think about it I'd have expected him to jokingly overcompensate. But maybe that's just my ego talking lol

I don't think this is unusual for town!Hamilton, though.worcej wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 7:02 amSo... what are we even doing anymore?
##vote Hamilton
We got'em boy'z!
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
worcej. This kind of shit is so frustrating. What does that have to do with this game at all? How is that related to Jamie's question? If you think I'm putting on theater with someone then that's one thing, but this is just irrelevant fearmongering.worcej wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 11:13 amThere is proof that these two are great at scum theater in the last game I ran.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 11:06 am@Ghug: Could you tell us more about why you scumread Kgray and Chaqa?
I remember thinking they did a smashing job.

@Maniac, and consider this me lending you a hand to increase your post count, why are you so certain food is town?
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Yeah I got the feeling that the only person you hadn't played with before on that list was Hamilton, so initially I didn't like that you were voting him. But I get being sus of Hamilton when you don't know his playstyle (or even when you do) and actually scum might be less likely to target an unknown over someone they're familiar with anyway.Kakarroto wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 11:21 amI know it myself, I focussed too much on people I know more of, but I had a lot to process in a short time. For the exact answer to your question: if I'm not wrong, I never played a game with Hamilton Brian before, so that would make one.kgray wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 3:28 amOf the people you mention here, how many have you not played with before?Kakarroto wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 1:16 amalso my current impressions as far as D1 is any good for that: Chaqa strong town, brain and vecna pretty towny, damo is damo, rd is worth having a closer look, demonrhk is somewhat towny, ghug looks good (but somehow something is whispering in my ear he's evil), from the few thing's I've seen from maniac he is ok (but would like see more), jamiet is ... surprisingly silent, that's unusual, then dargo looks bad right now, I feel something not too good from hamilton, but that might be just a thing with 'the third to claim missed start' thing
if I had a gun, right now, I'd (threaten and) shoot in this kinda order: dargo > hamilton > rd = jamiet
Then again, I didn't get a clear thought of people I've played (or at least watched a game of) too, so I didn't include them in my impressions above.

That was a lot to catch up on.
I’m still feeling generally good about brain, bona, Ghug, and a few others. I like a vote on Macca or food or HB today I think

And are Demon and food still rubbing you the wrong way? Why?
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Townpoints to Macca for questioning this when brain has been adamantly townreading them.

If you read Jamie in isolation you'll know Jamie doesn't think I'm scum at all let alone a solid wagon. Which begs the questions (a) why does he want me dead and (b) why is he signalling that he won't be changing his vote?kgray wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 3:11 pmWhy is Maniac a solid wagon?Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 11:28 amI'm going to ##Vote Maniac

Nothing else beyond "just scream?" Certainly there'd be something precise you could point to as an example.Maniac wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 3:19 pmWhy would I want to increase my post count?Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 3:06 pm@Maniac, and consider this me lending you a hand to increase your post count, why are you so certain food is town?

Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Based on my experience with scum!celaph, I disagree with your conclusion. He's never really a high poster and his activity and engagement here seems pretty standard town!celaph to me. When he was scum he just floated around doing literally nothing and I pretty easily caught him D1/D2. Here I see him making decent points and he's not just agreeing with whatever is being said.foodcoats wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 1:01 pmExamples below. They all strike me as something scum would write to seem active and hunty. They really don't seem very... authentic? And the fact that celaph is overall a low poster, not very reactive, sort of just comes in with these chunky beefs... it makes me think they're standing back from the keyboard, thinking very carefully, and then coming in with the non-committal-but-possibly-looks-good-at-a-quick-glance stuff.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I like Maniac a lot more than Jamie at this point.Maniac wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 3:22 pmIf you read Jamie in isolation you'll know Jamie doesn't think I'm scum at all let alone a solid wagon. As Rivera's spokesperson, I should inform you that he is unable to team up with Cheerios due to his preexisting contract with Wheaties.foodcoats wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 1:04 pmI'm making ghug Assistant Coach.
Got a spot for a Trainer and a GM. Any takers? We think rdr can really take off this season. Might have a sponsorship deal with Cheerios.
