I know that you didn't say you townread him. You just assumed that Vecna is town as if you knew this already.
Hmmmm rereading that thread is interesting. But... I dunno, why does Bona saying Vecna can’t “read into” something imply bona KNOWS Vecna is town, hence scum?

Yavu you seem to be reaching to latch onto something that was a reach in the first place... but it’s also odd that bona ACCEPTS that people think he townreads Vecna. Quickly scanning bona’s iso again and he never claims it, he even distances from it by saying “whether or not Vecna is town” (paraphrasing). So that’s very bizarre. It seems to me town would say “dafuq when i townread vecna?”
I like this post, though. I don't think it's scummy for Bona to say people can't read into something either, but I don't agree with your last point. I think scum!Bona would be more likely to point out that he didn't townread Vecna if he knew Vecna were town and was getting called out for this.
Here I disagree with this. Scums already know who's scum and who's not and a careless scum can easily accept a townread they have never made (because they already had this in their heads). That was my exact arguement with Bona. He claims that he never assumed Vecna is town but that's what he does in this message:

I think I'm town
Bona is once again his way too fluffy playstyle. Somewhat equating it to him being non-town by now
It's an early d1 offhand comment. You can't read anything into it.
I understand that he was directly talking to Vecna but he said it like he knew who is who

or whatever. I no longer see much scumminess here.

Not voting the following today:

ghug
Food
Worcej
Jamie
HB
Brain
The potential modkill

Anyone else is, at the moment, fair game.
Can you expand on why not Jamie - at the point of this post, he hasn't done much.
Precisely because he hasn't done much. Giving him time to obvtown.

I was more incensed by the fact I actually bothered to go back and look and bona just kept repeating it was NAI. it reminded me of when bona decided randomly that eliminating the talkative players was the best way to go. as scum he gets on his high horse about some really random talking point and he just repeats himself until you get tired of arguing.

I do think macca has a towntell. And I do think I unearthed it; however subtle it was. I believe I did this mostly using introductory posts where I showed macca almost always excited right away; other than M64 (a scum game) where they backloaded excitement into their opening post almost as an afterthought.
The difference between me claiming that eliminating the active players and the Macca's opening post is NAI business is that I didn't believe the active player stuff (which you can verify by looking at the scum qt for that game), and that I do honestly think that macca's opening post is not alignment of their alignment.

I don't see how the statement implies I know for a fact Vecna is town, but what prompted the change in how you view it?

Let me just put this out there because I am curious... is there value to doing any role claims now? Later on?
I'm more curious to ask you - what benefit do you see from doing this?
No value anymore. Chalk it up to poor initial reading comprehension and requiring a 2nd/3rd reread.

this is completely untrue. and if anything this is the reason why scum mess up most often. alot of players hit submit without rereading. and it bites them in the ass as scum. not everyone is careful. this has never been true.
Then they should be aware of what they're typing before they send it. Macca's pretty smart and I figure that they do reread their posts.

One of these things is true. 8-)

but not both?

I am still 6 pages behind and have to work.

My top scumreads now are Dargo and HB. Damo is still on this list but far down.

Townreads are Kgray, Brain and Yav.

I am torn on Food and Bona.

One of Ghug or Vecna might be scum, there is something in their interaction that don't fit but it's not for today.

##vote Dargo
