Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
I don't want to reveal too much right now in case I am horribly wrong, they're scum, and it turns into something that other scum adapt to. When I get a chance to go back and reread, then I'll share more. And again, it's all gut at this point, right?kgray wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 2:36 pmI agree with your townlean on Bob. Why Bunny?Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 2:33 pmHell if I know right now. No one really stands out to me, and that's not a hedge. That's a legitimate reaction to just getting nothing off of anyone. Having skimmed that last 5 or so pages...I'd probably lean town on Bunny, Bob. I have to go back and reread because there's the mechanics talk which always makes me feel like I am rinsing my eyes with sand but might be illuminating this time around.
Why are you townleaning Bob?
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
I stand by my "marry someone who keeps you on your toes" comment from a few days ago. I'm not voting you. But don't sneak up on me.

Why'd you pick celaph?
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Vecna’s lack of substance irks me.
The new individual’s willingness to sheep that makes me facepalm.
I’m goin back to bed.

Something he said last game. And a general personality metagame thought. Nothing really concrete.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
That's an interesting point: @jasnah, how do you know vecna?
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Nils Holgersson is indeed a very sensible person. He has many fine traits. Sensible yes.
maybe not so far in this game though
maybe not so far in this game though
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
assuming vecna was sensible so far would be like me assuming emc was sensible. or bozo.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Why be evasive if it's just your gut reads? And giving explanations for reads is definitely worth the risk of scum using that to fake towniness. They're already doing that...Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 2:39 pmI don't want to reveal too much right now in case I am horribly wrong, they're scum, and it turns into something that other scum adapt to. And most importantly, if you are withholding your reasons for your townreads so scum can't use them to blend in, why are you (1) saying you'll share more after rereading - that sounds like you're just deflecting - and (2) asking me to explain my townlean on Bob?
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Ifischl was just scum in a game I ran on discord. scum won pretty easily.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
he told me a few games ago he had always wanted to be mafia and that he prefers it
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
This doesnt indicate anything about the current game but It hopefully tells you a few things about him
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Last game? What did he say, and how is it relevant to this game?

Cause town had like 50 posts between them in a phase and the vig didn't claim when he was on the block d1.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
He asked me if I thought insightfulness was town indicative after he saw through me really quickly. He's doing something very similar here with bona, but I don't find it as towny this time.
Also, I get the impression that as much as celaph enjoys solving (and is very very good at reading people and their motivations), he'd be an excellent liar and would enjoy trying it this game. I expect that if he were offered a reasonable non-town role, he'd take it.

and bona was far and away the towniest townBonatogether wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 2:58 pmCause town had like 50 posts between them in a phase and the vig didn't claim when he was on the block d1.

I don't understand this or how he's doing it with bona? And why is it less towny now? Do you think he's faking whatever it is?BunnyGo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 2:58 pmHe asked me if I thought insightfulness was town indicative after he saw through me really quickly. And your second point is not particularly compelling to me lol
