Also, should have mentioned this in the OP. Looking for feedback on the new profile page. The goal is an easy to understand page for new and experienced players alike. So if something comes off as too complicated or not initiative, let us know.

Should we have less decimals on the RR? To me, anything beyond 1 decimal is utterly worthless clutter.

It might also be cool to have a stat of [game messages]/[non-1v1 Press games]. Even game messages per Classic press would be an interesting indicator for most.

First off, and again, that’s a really impressive upgrade you all pulled off, takes a ton of dedication, extremely well done!

Very minor variance that I only bring up because I’m confident you want to know of such things, when I click on either Overall Peak Ghost Rating link on the Hall of Fame page, it states my ranking is different from that listed in the table below: “You are ranked #2 out of 25225 players...”

Oh, you know what would be really cool?

A GR-tab im every game. When I click on it, it lists the GR of every participant. It also shows the number of :points: I need to win for GR parity!

I would quite like this and a breakdown of GR changes post game would be nice too if we can talk stretch requests

Curious why we put more emphasis on peak Ghost Ratings (in the HoF). I thought the current rating is more indicative? For example, a player could have had a high peak rating long ago, but then steadily declined (because the average skill level of other players went up, but this particular player did not improve). Also, peak GR could maybe be prone to one-offs, like winning a particular game against highly rated players then seeing a huge bump in GR. But if that player can't sustain his/her GR, then wouldn't the current ratings be more indicative of the actual skill level?

I don't know, it's interesting to know I have a 99.825632083697% RR... :)

On a similar note, however, it may be worth including one digit after the decimal for the GR rating. For one, that would differentiate it more clearly from the rankings, and for two, some of the people on the HoF are listed with the same rating, so a bit more granularity would be nice to separate those ties.

I think for the most part it's really good! Profile comments do get a little bit squished, although I'm not sure there's a good way to handle that.

For the game stats, one improvement might be to have the same categories as GR, so people can compare between the two? (Ie. Add in live and 1v1 sections.)

On a different point, it seems that the GR over time chart doesn't go back to each player's first games. Is there a reason for that?

Also, are deprecated variants, such as PPSC or KW901, included in the calculations?

I'd take it a step further and not separate game stats from ranks. Click on Full Press and it pulls down your stats and rating. Click on Gunboat and it does the same. No need to keeping rankings and raw stats separate.

This is possible, but Im not sure I like the idea of giving people a point value to "settle for" ya know?

That's a very good idea. It would be a great way to reduce clutter. Perhaps each category dropdown could have two columns: one for GR, and one for stats. That said, the categories don't match up exactly, for instance, there's no Variant-only GR.

This game by game breakdown should be coming in a future update

GR categories is coming on its own page with more details and more comprehensive charts. The profile page is just a high level look at things since there is already a lot on that page.

KW901 is not included. PPSC is included.

Gotcha!

Does PPSC have a weight-modifier?

I also just noticed that the new user search page now routes to an actual url! It's a super minor thing, but it's bothered me for years. Amazing work with all your many changes, folks! <3

I don't think there would be much grumbling if GR was tweaked to fit into the categories (or maybe better yet vice versa). All the different terms are probably a little confusing to the new player anyways.

Yeah, the search "page" was just a part of the old profile page so I just rewrote it as a new page without the lack of a proper url.

Any change to GR requires rerunning over 100,000 games worth of history, so we are very un-inclined to change GR categories in any way, but the vice versa makes sense.
