Actually, I get this feeling that Maniac is on to something. When damo said he was "on the gargle" it sounded to me like another euphemism for drinking, and google confirmed this. Obviously I realize 2 people referencing drinking isn't necessarily a huge coincidence, but it could be a signal from damo too.
plenty of people talked about missing drunk bunny too

It doesnt quite have the same appetizing ring to it as your theory did last game though

True. I think it's just the odd phrasing that pinged me initially, although maybe that's just a cultural thing.

So who is the traitor in this scenario anyway? Because I really did not get what maniac was hinting at.

I meant to ask if you spotted a soft from RD, your reply seemed to indicate annoyance that he made it too obvious or w/e?

I mean, obviously Maniac thinks it could be Flum. I think it's more likely to be damo, since he referred to drinking using another euphemism which (to me) isn't very common. Maybe other UK people can weigh in on that.

You are saying that I was softing scum? I am not exactly sure why I am being read as so suspicious at this point. Maniac clearly didn’t realize there was a traitor in the game so by his own admission he was softing scum and that made me suspicious of him since I had been the traitor last game and was watching for potential signaling. That’s why I felt better to vote for him because to me that was a stronger indication of scum than summit’s meta which I am not as familiar with as most of you all are.

im actually a bit suspicious of HR here. He's not taking this approach of trying to single out people that looked scummy over how a d1 kill went like this in any of his recent games that I can remember, and he certainly is overboasting about his own contribution to the summit lynch.

Sure he found himself on that wagon early, but his justification was very thin, and he just sheeped after 3-4 of the main voices in the thread had made their opinion clear and it had become the top wagon. It certainly would be good timing to get on that wagon in a juicy position for a slot that was already looking very wobbly.

And yes, im aware that HR hates bussing.

@vecna - because traitor and scum can’t have any pre-agreed signals they have to be obtuse. Flum couldn’t say “Are you the traitor’ but he can say “are you drunk/ do you like cheese / are you from Spain etc. Anything that would elicit a “yes” I am from the potential traitor.

What makes you think that Maniac didn't realize there was a traitor?

I can't see how that would be an effective way to signal.

@kgray 'gargle' for booze is common in hiberno-English, I've used it before in mafia games.

If drinking was being used as a signal I had no part in it.

I would favour voting for a Maniac voter so Seth or Nanook. Don't particularly mind which. I will vote for either that looks like getting DK'd.

I'd be amazed if these are both town. A far better bet than playing find the busser. [And yes, I know]
