Not related to the current bread debate but I like yavu’s iso on a reread. Flash also reads more typically flashy than I at first pegged him.

My townreads include.

Tom - has had a couple interactions where pressure was put on him and he has stuck to his guns. I have been watching him pretty closely since the Taz opening post and he seems town to me. His interaction with hthefourth is something to keep an eye on if either flips.

Summit - willing to jump in and looks comfortable. I disagree with some of his reads but I get the feeling he is coming from a town point of view.

Bunny - he has been a conversation driver and has intentionally drawn a lot of attention, if he is scum I would be surprised.

Worcej - this one is interesting because his meta seems so off from the worcej in m58. It kind of throws me that his style seems different but his posts and methods to keep the conversation have seemed very town to me.

Why is everyone listing four town reads. This is spam unless you have something substantive to say about them.

No, it´s not. It forces scum to state opinions (or to avoid it, which is also indicative).

While I don't think it is spam I do feel that forcing everyone to give reads may give us less information on scum who would have avoided/been uncomfortable posting reads naturally. This seems like it would make it easier for them to blend in with just the generic 4 reads and done.

That is why people should question reads they don't understand.

This does not help me determine whether I am mistaken or not. If you do add to your bread trail I will have to assume I am mistaken and revote you, if I am not sure it is better to save myself for town's sake than risk letting you get away.

Vecna looks very townie. The below two posts are very strong.

Part of me expects town!Vecna to do something a little bananas to prove he’s wearing his official tinfoil hat, but that would come on a future day.

I’ll also add that Flum’s iso crackled against my own tinfoil tricorne. I played scum with Flum one time and he was effusive and meandering in a similar vein to what I’ve read here. But, so is half the playerbase.

I do find it odd that if youre town, your first impression is not to think im tryhardnig there by coming up with some bullshit to read the two of you as partners on p1.

Instead both your reaction was ridicule, which often (not always) infers that you already know im town.

I will move my joke vote off of Tom and place a slightly more serious vote on ##vote summit. What struck you as scummy from Vecna? Why do you have like 6 separate joke-posts?

Also Bunny, if you could chill just a bit and not clog up the thread so much, that would be great. I love your activity, but let's try to keep it mafia-related please. If I have to read any more about which cartoon character you are, I'm going to go a bit... loony.

Okay, maybe confident wasn't a good word choice. But you defended your read pretty strongly and I'm really not buying any of your reasons, so that makes me question it even more.

Can you point me to which of his posts you think were quality, pointed out hypocrisies that you agreed with, or started pertinent and non-shallow lines of questioning? I don't care if you go line-by-line, I just want to know what you think is specifically townie. I never said he was posting the worst crap, but you said very complimentary things about his posts which I'm not seeing.

I'm not attacking Macca because (1) all he said is HR's seeming very townie, which is a lot less specific than what you're claiming you've seen from HR's posts, and (2) because Tom had already asked Macca about his read by the time I saw it.

I'm failing to understand the problem. Would you have preferred I weakly defended my reads? Also of course Maccas reasoning is less specific - he hasn't answered the follow-up yet. I think you also misread my last line. I said others posted *worse* crap, not put words in your mouth.

But let's go line-by-line on HRs posts for you. Bear in mind that this exercise will make it *seem* like HR is a stronger townread for me than he is.

1) First post. Pointed sarcasm at worcej for mentioning mass-claims if that's what he wants to avoid. Pretty NAI, but look at the other posts on that page. Emojis and #get rekts. And it's the best response to worcej's post, in comparison to summit, Flum and Vecna, who joke and discuss the massclaim respectively. I could stroke HRs ego a bit here and just write it off as him being more intelligent, I suppose. Funnily, you defended this post of his when someone else questioned it.

2) Second post. This is the least valuable one. Mentions a connection repeatedly brought up between Tom and Moscow. Not much else to say here.

3&4) Points out Durgas stance is hypocritical, and keeps it pointed on Durga when Flum dives in off topic. I think this is legit and not something I would've noticed. Ignoring Flum and preventing it from getting sidetracked seems very towny to me.

5) I think its a legit hypocrisy he points out that foodcoats said flash is too active, when flash only had 5 posts. And it's pertinent that he says foodcoats only mentioned you, when other people had similar sentiments. Again, looking for and drawing connections between players. Who is he addressing, who is he leaving out by omission.

One weak post, the others impressionable enough for me to remember them after reading through the whole thread and trying to recollect everything to name names. Nothing scummy. Nothing fluff. Nothing out of character. That's good enough for a town-lean halfway through D1.

(1) I didn't defend HR's post - I thought it was strange that it made that much of an impression on Moscow so I asked him about it. I think it's pretty NAI and I don't have a strong read on HR in general, so at this point I'm more interested in other people's reads of HR than in HR himself.

(2) I can't find anywhere where Tom mentions that it's been a while since he played with Moscow before the post that HR replied to, and I've gone back to look twice now. Am I missing it? If not, then this post isn't just his least valuable, it's also misleading.

While I don't really see the point in asking them to go into details here after you just went through each of HR's posts, I will say that Macca's answer is pretty unsatisfying to me and their reads were similarly vague in the last game as scum. Although, I do think they've already posted more opinions than they did for all of last game, which is a step in the town direction.

I don't think you'd intentionally lurk as scum for that reason, no, but I think some people are uncomfortable and hesitant to post as scum. It's possible that you were just waiting around to see how things were going and looking for something you could easily engage with.

I don't really find anyone too scummy so far, especially not either of the two wagons right now.

However, since I need to put in a vote, so I ask a question to the more experienced people.

I will not be on at EOD, I will be in a stage rehearsal at that time. Is it better to vote for a wagon now, or to put my vote on someone who isn't. Considering it's currently a tie, I would think whatever gives town the greatest ability to quickly shift targets would be best, but which of those options would do so?

Any answer appreciated. I will otherwise default on one of the major wagons.
