Okay, that's fair. But that's why I said "assuming patient zero = traitor." I thought the traitor was a way to refer to that role because the above reasons. If the role did change from the sign-up thread, besides the theme switching from carrots to coronavirus, I missed it.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Tue Mar 17, 2020 3:19 amThe traitor may have ended up being turned into or replaced with patient zero, but it sounded to me like early in the sign up period a slightly different role was being considered, which would mean that questions about the traitor did not necessarily apply to patient zero. It just seemed to me you were jumping in to defend BunnyGo's interpretation of the role.kgray wrote: ↑Tue Mar 17, 2020 2:17 amIn the sign-up thread, Venca asked "Do the remaining scum know the identity of the traitor?" and Nephthys said "Yes." Based on the setup info on that post, I don't see what other role Vecna could have be referring to as the traitor there besides the mafia alignment cop, which was later named patient zero in the second post of this thread.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Tue Mar 17, 2020 2:02 am
That sounds like a different role, what makes you think this answer about the traitor applies to patient zero?
And then to check if I was understanding correctly, a google search brought me to this page:
https://www.mafiauniverse.com/forums/da ... le=Traitor
where the role description is "The Traitor is aligned with and win with the mafia team, but is not joined up with them (i.e. does not know who they are and cannot communicate with them)." I don't know if the patient zero role in this game is different from a typical traitor, but this was enough to convince me that's what Vecna was talking about. Do you think differently?
Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
Wait...after that end vote on Chaq (does using hammer instead of end count?) I think you made the list for weird shit.
Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
Man, I signed up for carrots. Nice, escapism and carrots. Now I gotta play a game all about our fucked up actual world...shit man...kgray wrote: ↑Tue Mar 17, 2020 3:34 amOkay, that's fair. OK, kgray, you got any thoughts? You've been wowing me so far. It's D1, I take nothing seriously D1, but it's fun to pretend we can do it!

You keep tingling me, but at least your active and posting a lot so I won't push you for lynch day 1.
Better to lynch a lurker day 1.

The tingling terms really sound sexual. Are you sure you're not flirting with me? I'm definitely not a playboy bunny.Fluminator wrote: ↑Tue Mar 17, 2020 3:39 amYou keep tingling me, but at least your active and posting a lot so I won't push you for lynch day 1.

Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
Ummm...no? Lurkers tend to be PRs as often as scum. I've only played 5ish games, but I've hated every time we lynched a lurker early. And it bit us in the a$$ more often than not.Fluminator wrote: ↑Tue Mar 17, 2020 3:39 amYou keep tingling me, but at least your active and posting a lot so I won't push you for lynch day 1.

I'm attracted to dangerous people
Power roles are usually useless. Don't concern about accidentally killing one.

Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
I mean...I know you said all that stuff about town and scum vibes, but hammering day 1, and saying PRs are useless? I really feel like you're gaslighting me. But I also suck at this game, so...seriously?Fluminator wrote: ↑Tue Mar 17, 2020 3:45 amI'm attracted to dangerous people

Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
flum is trolling me.
likely to get me fired up and paranoid. gonna say its a good thing as opposed to a scum ploy.

I think sometimes you read too deeply into what people say, especially during the 'joke phase'.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Tue Mar 17, 2020 1:15 amIt is interesting there were 4 VT claims to start the game, it makes me wonder the motive for these claims.

Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
Ok, I read the setup and the role cop is useful, but even then you have a godfather. I think I remember Foxy won his first game as scum because he was a cop cleared godfather.
Usually the main use of PRs is to be a confirmable townslot and beyond that they're not actually that useful and optimal play should not be diverted to avoid hitting one by accident. One of the only tells that actually work in catching scum are associative tells and you need active people for those to show up.

Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
Interesting that her comment was directed at xorxes who pointed at two specific people.
do we have.... A POSSIBLE CLUE?!?!?!
Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
You mean thoughts on who's town and who's mafia? Not really, no... I'm looking for inconsistencies and trying to figure out why people would interpret things differently than I do, but as far as drawing conclusions about alignment goes I'm pretty uncertain.
Re: M54: Not a Carrot Conspiracy
That and the obvious focus of some people trying to find the one isolated scum is interesting. I am more inclined to think one of those people are scum and attempting to communicate.
