In our terms, from an objective observer's view, there is a 5/20 chance that any player is scum. If an all-knowing GM were to reveal that 10 players were not scum, the immediate thought is that any remaining player is now at a 50/50 chance to be scum, but in the broader sense, it's really a 75% in our case, as the "masked" PRs have not actually been revealed.

But by "opening" those doors with Dargo's masked claim idea, we have a VERY good chance to hit scum.

I may be slightly misapplying the Monty Hall problem here, but it makes sense to me.

This seems like scum trying to confuse town. It is not a Monty Hall problem at all with one of 3 doors being reveals not having the prize behind it.

If all 10 town PRs claim truthfully, and everone else claim VT, we have 3 scum, 1 PR and one BH in the group of 10 VT claimants. The vig has then a 50% chance of hitting scum/RP/BH no more no less.

But the probability that "all 10 town claim truthfully without any CC" is very low imho.

It seems like Chaqa is just doing his best to confuse town. Scummy as hell i m o.

Agree. The use there was confusing because the ! is something of a logical operator. So is the word "not." Using them together makes life difficult. I've always understood the ! to indicate some manner of condition. Like this:

I generally have a piss poor recollection of past games, but I would tend to agree that so far Jamiet seems more like how I recall him as scum than as town.

ND is an interesting case. His entire demeanor is different, and then he disappeared. Very suspicious.

Tom's absence is not unusual. Vecna and Bozo's absences are.

Peter and teacon seem much how I remember. Good feelings on both.

Bunny and Flavius are suspiciously quiet.

Well, my not understanding mathematics notwithstanding, I still really like the maskclaim idea. Let's roll with it.

@xorx - please please please reveal ASAP. If you delay it it just causes confusion and will 100% have some players being obstinate out of spite. We have three claims now (you, me, EMC). Rivera says he'll claim if you reveal. That's four. Jamiet will be seventh, so if we get two more, we're like halfway there.

rivera and Jamiet are being scummy if they're waiting for a reveal that they cannot doubt will be forthcoming. I'm getting more results from not proving my claim yet. Massclaim is about claims, not about GM reveals and sheeping the clear.

I just don't want you back tracking with a "that was just a reaction test" as I early suspected you as the RP.

1) Massclaim makes sense. I think a full blown masslciam makes sense, but if we want to do the weird PR or non-PR as a compromise I suppose that's fine too. The problem is that if not everyone does it its not all that usesful.

2) Jamie rarely hunts for scum. He hunts for contradictions or things that make him mad. Do you think what he is doing this game is scum motivated?

In the case that the bounty hunter's targets all end up to be scum, and town lynches them all - do town and 3p share a win, or does one take precedent over the other?

In a case where:

1. All BH targets are scum, and;
2. All BH targets are lynched, and;
3. The final BH target is the final non-BH ‘scum’ so Town and BH effectively “win” simultaneously

Then BH and Town can share the win. Neither takes precedence.
