When I was Janitor in M49 I did, and there was no way to share that information privately with my M49 team until the following night.

I assumed it worked the same way here which is why I was looking for code words or whatever and hoping we could provoke early fake claims.

But if they don’t even know then I don’t see the point. Scratch that idea unless the GMs state otherwise.

I've been spending some time with the role list lately.

We have one of Cop/Gunsmith guaranteed.

The Watcher/Tracker/other one of Cop-Gunsmith are all options we could draw out of the random pool.

There are 28 Town roles, which leaves 9 from 24 to come out of the random pool after the 4 semi-guaranteed slots.

3/8 isn't amazing odds for any specific role to be in the game.

Also, naming your stolen role is problematic for assassin. Simply saying “role thief” seems ok on its face.

I don't see a reason unless they're dead or not town.

If all the Mafia had was an updated vote list, they could have all gone for damo based on that.

Or they hit a 3P role and the Assassin or nk-Tanner/Infector/Chameleon don't mind them knowing their role as the Mafia are likely to leave them alive as extra cover right now?

That's exactly how he appears to me in this game. But again, maybe not mafia, but 3rd party.

OK, I'll start...but I expect all y'all to pitch in too:

My top two town reads (besides Flav...obv town):

1) Worcej. Yes he's distracted with a barfing, shitting, screaming, adorable thing at home, but he's putting in clearly written replies, keeping us from drifting when he can, and is actually trying to help people focus (when he's here). He didn't read my many many night questions, ah well...pobody's nerfect.

2) rdrivera2005. I'm loving the bullshit he calls out. Explains stuff, keeps things on track. Calling TrPrado a tool is bonus points. Was very thoughtful about Flav's claim, the consideration with the rules on lynching Flav.

My top two scum reads:

1) Xorxes. His post N1 posts have been really off. He's searching, but it seems he's trying to cover something, and so keeps saying stuff that makes no sense. I count on xorxes to know what's up, so seeing things like this sets my ears perked up.

2) Kitsune. I'm getting the same vibe as last game. Her "reads" post was <insert politer negative phrase here>. And I've found her disappearing whenever she's made an impression saying nothing.

Sounds reasonable. By then I was in bed trying to finish ISO’s so others would respond top 2 Town and scum. I wasn’t having much luck with my reads. But I liked Rivera. Don’t remember righting the part about calling someone a tool but it’s certainly me to think it’s funny.

My read is the assassin has one bullet at a time, but gets another provided he kills a target with it.

And you're not wrong to be worried about Assassin, but I also can't see how we win this without at least discussing some of our roles.

If we spend the whole game hiding from the Assassin and keeping information hidden from other Town we can't justify without outing ourselves, makes the hunt for scum a little more challenging.

They do have to worry about town fake claiming to throw them off, but that’s also anti-town. So pretty hard to do.

I'm actually surprised the Assassin didn't fake-claim as Omniscient.
