Hitman Modern Diplomacy

Hello webDip players! I am JustAGuyNamedWill and I would like to organize a fun experiment.

Each of the nations can draw at any time. 10 players on the Modern Diplomacy map, each one is secretly PMed another nation, a target nation. That target nation must also be eliminated in order to win. Even if you draw, if the target nation of yours is still alive, you lose.

Each nation will have one random nation targeting it, and each nation will have a target.

Does anyone like this idea? I am seeing how well this is recieved before I post any signups.

I would need 10 players of course, because I would GM and sit on the sidelines

A solo is invalid as well if the soloing nation’s target nation survives

Hmmmmmm. Seems intriguing. I seem to be a little confused though on how this works exactly. What does drawing do, when does the game end? It feels unclear.

The game ends once either a solo happens or a draw happens.

If the player that solos has their target nation defeated, they win.

In a draw, any players that participated in the draw that have their target nation defeated win

So in this scenario, lets say

Germany’s target -> Ukraine
Italy’s target -> Germany
Spain’s target -> Russia

In this draw, Spain and Germany would win, but Italy would lose.

Does it make sense to disallow revealing who your drawn enemy is? There is not way to enforce it, of course... but asking a commitment, AND no one asking anyone else... would add to the uniqueness of this game.

I usually despise draconian tyrannical rules. Especially unenforceable ones. But it seems to me that this facet is what makes this a unique game.

I suppose 'outlawing' it is too strong. But I would hope that this aspect doesn't enter into negotiations. Otherwise, "Help me against Germany and I'll help you against Turkey" becomes like any other Dip Game.
