Whittle Down Series
I'm interested in doing a series of 3-4 games on different maps. Full press WTA scoring, and I don't have a preference on anon.
We'd start on World Diplomacy IX. After 4 players are eliminated,the remaining 10 will start a game on Modern Diplomacy. After 3 are eliminated, the remaining 7 start a classic game. We could keep going to Ancient if we agree on it, but it's not necessary.
Now, we can either be quick and start the new games fast, right when the eliminations occur. OR, we can have the reward for topping the board be picking your country in the next round. But this would make a slower series. Tiebreakers would be SC counts, or last higher SC count. Players included will be at my discretion, based on GR and RR. Anyone interested?

It is an interesting concept. The only thing is that you need to work with the mods as there is no way of picking a country as far as I know.

Re: Whittle Down Series
That sounds like a really interesting concept... count me in!
RR = 98%
GR = 115
I'm not an expert player, but am extremely interested.

Could be keen,
GR- 226 (I think)
RR - 74 (Its low but since I returned I've only missed the odd phase)

Re: Whittle Down Series
Aren't there 17 in a World game requiring 7 eliminations not 4?
Also if you forced DRAW at the required elimination point I'd be interested, but not otherwise.
Nice idea goldie

Re: Whittle Down Series
Oh you're right. It is 17, not 14.
And I laid out two different ways it could go. Depends on how people want it structured. I just want whatever way gets enough bodies at the "table" to get it going.
1) Start the new game as soon as the necessary eliminations happen, and force draw (this would lead to some really short games in the first two rounds though)
2) Play it out and have the winners choose countries by seed
Plus 3) Bonus option of Ancient Need
You could just join in Wusti. No guarantee you'll make it out of World :p
