20 Questions - Game #6 - RULE CHANGE
OK all ... with unlimited guesses, the game has become a bit too easy. This time, we'll limit each person to 1 free guess, further guesses will count as a yes/no question.
The rules again are:
1. Only yes/no questions may be asked.
2. If the answer is unclear, questionmaster must clarify why.
3. One guess per person does not count against the total, but additional guesses by the same person do. After all 20 questions are up, three total guesses are allowed.
4. Please choose people/movie/TV/literary/video game/etc. characters that, if you were to throw a dart out the window, at least 50% of people hit would know this character.
5. Whomever guesses correctly takes over from the previous questionmaster. If they do not want to do it, they may choose who to pass the duty onto or just give it to the first volunteer.
6. If the questionmaster remains undefeated three times in a row, on the third time they must either pass it to a person of their choice, or the first volunteer takes over.
I've chosen my person. Let's give this a go!

Yes, this person was a politician, sort of, but there's more to it than that. Politician probably isn't the first thing that comes to mind in how you would describe him.Is this person a politician?
No.Is this person American?
Re: 20 Questions - Game #6 - RULE CHANGE
Let me rephrase the politician answer:
Yes, this person was/is a politician, sort of, but there's more to it than that. Politician probably isn't the first thing that comes to mind in how you would describe him.
So ...
1. Not female
2. A real person
3. Not mainly known for their work in entertainment
4. Alive today
5. Not a writer
6. A politician, sort of, but maybe not the first thing that comes to mind
7. Not American

Interesting. What does everyone else in the thread think? What else might make a person famous, enough to give them enough clout to make some kind of foray into or effect on politics, yet not be an writer, actor, or even academic personality?

Re: 20 Questions - Game #6 - RULE CHANGE
I think one of the next steps should be to find out from where that person comes, but I'm not sure which question (european, asian, african or oceanian?) we should ask.
Also, I kinda think the 'sort of politician but not the first thing' might point to a rebel or military leader, but I'm also careful about how to phrase that question, so what do you all think?
But a voice in my head (probably my intuition, but who knows nowadays who's in someone's head) says 'bring this name out, say the name' so my free guess is Nelson Mandela.
