I plan to approach it pretty similarly to last game, but hopefully learning from some of my mistakes.

One thing I want to do more of is pushing my "gut" reads. I felt like you were scum for most of last game, but I couldn't really come up with tangible evidence for it even when you were misconstruing everything I was saying. You're not going to get away with that this game ;)
Actually overall I'll probably try to rely less on finding "tangible evidence." A lot of my scumreads last game (rdr, Fox, Tem and damo) turned out to be based on what I'd consider "tangible evidence" but they all turned out to be town.
I think that's a mistake. Look for the *correct* tangible evidence. Not necessarily "scum slips" or "inconsistency" but the evidence that suggests someone is misleading you with their writing.
Yeah, that's what I'm trying to say. Not things like "Tem forgot about previous townreads" or "rdr and Fox voted for town when they could have voted for scum," but things like "Bunny keeps ignoring half your questions and brushing off good points you make by claiming me using logic is dismissive."

I think he's just feeling pressured to talk. I don't think I've been asked a more needless question than whether or not the game would be easier if the mechanics were different.

Hunt.
And why is that? Personally I find hiding much easier. The lying, the laying false leads and helping to push people on the wrong trail, the cognitive dissonance; these all come fairly naturally to me (not that I'm an expert by any means, but these skills are easier). I'm not even sure what skills I should be looking at to hunt. What do you use?

And I don't think I've ever given a more needless answer than saying that it would be easier if the one scum player didn't die.

Honest? Maybe. Helpful? Maybe. Conversation starter? Not really.

Hmm...do you think if there were just 1 member of the scum team they'd have a harder or easier time?
Depends on whether or not they get lynched before the game ends. If they don't, probably quite a bit easier.
That's what I'm wondering. 1 scum alone doesn't have anyone else they're interacting with. The extra knowledge is easier to hide. There's no flips that reveal anything. So why are bigger scum teams usually considered more fair? What about scum hunting is hard?
Did anyone else hear a whooooshing sound as a joke flew over Bunny's head?

My benefit. I want to actually learn how all y'all think. If we're going to start a game, I want to have an easier time getting in your heads.

Logic and rationality. A little bit of intuition, maybe. Understanding someone's motivations is crucial.

You're quite bad at hiding, so I hope you're better than you give yourself credit for at hunting.

Dumb Bunny is happy and doesn't mind being mocked. Dumb Bunny doesn't get most jokes.

Yeah...I get that. I'm trying to get you to talk. Would you rather role play a hostess at a party and make jokes? Talk about the mechanics of the game and go down that rabbit hole? Ask me about something?

Well, it's pretty odd that you're asking a bunch of questions to "learn how people think" but then not thinking about the answers long enough to realize that his answer couldn't possibly have been a serious answer.

Fair enough. I'm here playing because I think this game should be near impossible on forum. But I'm interested in trying to learn the skills people claim they're good at that I don't have. No other way than jumping in the pit.

Of course it wasn't. He's trying to brush me off and be brusque. But being a happy-go-lucky moron gets people talking. Getting hissy about it gets them to ignore you.

See...he eventually said this. Which was more obviously serious and on his sleeve. But even the brusque "joking" answers had content behind it.

What did my non-serious answer say?
Among other things:

1) You don't really want to be talking to me, even though you engaged me at the start
2) You'd rather not start any other conversation by ignoring me and engaging with anyone else, but yet you still felt compelled to respond to me
3) You think you're smarter than I am, and want me to know it and feel intimidated
4) You have nothing better to be discussing, even as you disdain this line of conversation.

Maybe those conclusions are wrong, but they're my gut reaction what I'm getting from you.
