END OF DAY 1

The sun was setting in the distance, a beautiful summer evening in People Park, Los Angeles, assuming you could get past all the smog that is. The Wright Anything Agency, headed by Phoenix Wright, was closing down for the day. Phoenix sat at his desk, a frown on his face. He was rather bored currently, having spent most of the day twiddling his thumbs. His counterparts Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes were out busy with other cases, leaving him to be the one to take any calls for new cases.

Unfortunately to Phoenix’s dismay, no new cases presented themselves during the day.

He expected something to happen given the recent protests at the court calling for the end of the bench trial system, but nothing came from it.

“Anything going on in the news Maya?” Phoenix sighed. Maya Fey, his long time friend, spirit-medium, Co-counsel, assistant, and unfortunately most often client, sat on the couch looking at the internet on her flip phone.

“I need a cool nickname… These internet suggestions aren’t that great so far…” Maya muttered to herself, not noticing Phoenix’s attempts at communicating to her.

“MAYA! What is going on in the news?!” Phoenix shouts to grab her attention.

Maya, unphased and continuing to look at her phone, respondes “Nothing big, just a prison escape and another trial ended today.”

Phoenix stares at her, a look of shock on his face. “Who escaped?”

“Just some people we once put behind bars and are swearing revenge against you. No big deal.”

Phoenix looks worried. “No big deal!?! Why do you say that?”

Maya looks up at Phoenix. “Because they already started a case for to find them, though once again the local law enforcement rushed to judgement and the defendant didn’t have our number and were already found guilty and sentenced.”

Phoenix sighs in disbelief. “You would think people would learn they need us to defend them...”

I don't think Mafia would be so explicit about how they're trying to save a scum teammate. I think only one of him or Flavius can be scum, and I'd be more inclined to say Flavius.
