@DemonRHK:

In your rabbit hole, am I scum, or town?
Town. No offense Jamie but I’ve never seen you with the balls to fakeclaim, too much can go wrong and you have to have that control factor.
No offense taken.

I can honestly see a world where town backup that wolf reads foxc jails them to prevent them from using an action

if they're scum they just jail jamie and it's far more useful

Further down the rabbit hole:

It would be a self covering play. If you lynch Quas and he's scum backup, it 'confirms' Foxy was jailed and towncreds him. If you for some reason lynch Foxy and he's scum, It shades if the backup exists at all and allows for a shock jail in a more important...

Oh shit.

##CALL GM: Can the SK be jailed and if so does it stop their kill?

With Jamie’s claim, I have a low confidence in my scum reads. I think I misinterpreted what LordQuas was saying, so I no longer find him as suspicious. I think we need to look at everyone closely. I still think Foxcastle and flash are scum suspects.

I think Nephthys should be looked at closely for advocating a mass claim. Also, he seemed to have more information about the scum fake claim list than was available to town.

In this post, Nephthys asks if each scum had a fake claim for a total of five. This was not answered, and it appears to be the origin of the idea there were 5 fake roles for the scum to claim.

##Call GM to clarify, scum were given a fake claim each (totalling 5) fake roles. This means that there are 7 roles to which neither scum nor town knows about and if so, were the fake claim roles chosen or picked at random?
Then in this post, Nephthys seems to refer to the 7 unconfirmed role that he derived from 5 fake claims as if they are fact.

I am asking for some faith, that is all. Also we till are able to rule out 7 roles that are conf not in the game. That means a minimum of 3 PR.

I will admit there is a slight chance this doesn't work but I think the possible gain is too high to neglect
In absence of a GM response I assumed I was correct, irrespective, I realized that they could easily just say who their fake claim was in chat so I answered my own question
How does that answer your question? Do you still think the scum were given 5 fake roles to claim?

Late in UK.

Trying to watch a film and catch up at same time. Difficult!

Anyway, i'm confused.

I assume Fox is lying.

Why is Jamie still alive?

I'd also like to briefly point out that if I'm scum I never kill cfox here, especially not with the jailkeeper on my side

I kill jamie there EVERY time, cfox was a stout defender of me, unless he had my other 2 scumbuddies exactly nailed (and he really wasn't contributing that much of a threat in terms of active pushing this game so maybe not even then), I would never consider killing the mason over the role cop there

Believing Foxcastle is incredibly important on the direction to take this day.

##call GM - would commuting receive the same message as jailed?
The commuter commutes *themselves*, not a target.
Yeah, figured that out.

So, unless someone finds another possibility, D4 comes down to this logic:

Do we believe Foxcastle was jailed?
  1. "No, he is a liar. We kill him!"
    • If Fox is scum, it would be 5-2-1 going into N4. Excellent position for us.
    • If SK, it would be 5-3-0 going into N4. Almost the worse position for us. We are at LYLO on D5 if this is the case (4-3-0). But I don't think Fox is the SK - it would make more sense to just claim SK at this point than lie to cover that.
    • If town, it would be 4-3-1 going into N4. 2nd Worse position for us, since it will rely on the SK hitting a scum to keep us in the game. If they did hit a scum, it would be 3-2-1 on D5 and is a weird kinda MYLO honestly (trying to wrap my head on how this would play out on D5 and failing to see it atm)... The miss would be 2-3-1 and effectively a loss for us.
  2. "Yes, he was indeed jailed by the Conditional Backup." There are only the following options of who that is:
    • Jaime - Claimed England, a confirmed town role, no CCs presented. Without a CC, he isn't likely the person.
    • cFox - Dead as Mason, so that's a hard NOPE.
    • Damo - Got enough karma. Still alive.
    • Lord - Also got enough karma. Also still alive.
So, my opinion, is I don't know what benefit Fox would have to lie about doctor and then also lie about jailing to cover up that lie. It doesn't make sense as scum, factoring in who died this past night. If Jaime had died, then fabricating that lie makes sense as scum. Because if it's a lie (jailing) and he wants a damo or lord lynch, who are both town or one is an SK in this lie, then the SK hits the other non-lynched, it's 2-3-1 (at worse) and, as scum, you're depending on the town going along with the lynch of the SK on D5. And this is all because...

Since the Ninja is dead, after N4 the Scum are out of NKs unless it is a Factional NK. America turns into a watcher and is no longer a Goon.

Also, I don't see any way to influence the vote this late in the game... so a tie on D5 would be almost setting up a win for the SK. The only way his lie works out is if they are confident the SK is in damo or Lord and they want them taken out by town.

So I kind of believe Fox at this moment, which leads me to the next pair of options: Lord vs. Damo lynch.

The SK is still on our side right now, especially because if we mislynch, the game is almost over if the scum know who the SK is. That would make D5 be a 2-3-1 situation (assuming a town scum kill and a SK 'miss'), which is pretty much game over for us and it's just scum vs SK, with us getting to choose who wins.

With that all being dredged out, I still honestly think Damo is the SK, so it comes down to a Fox vs Lord for me right now for a lynch. And since I already stated my opinion on Fox, ##vote Lord

I welcome some sharp pokes in this tin-foil theory-craft of mine... I think it's strong though atm.

The only trick I have is why did scum jail Fox and not kill Jaime? England is absolutely the worst possible role for scum, so getting rid of it pronto is imperative. The logic of them trying to throw doubt @ Fox strikes me as a possible play, so I am inclined to stick to my tin-foil hat for now.

First way to poke a hole without you guys commenting yet:
##Call GM - is the Scum NK tied to the faction or if a Goons/Ninja role is in play?

Rephrase - if they don't have a goon or the Ninja, they cannot NK?

Also - the other civs are not default mafia goons if they are labeled as Vanilla correct?
