Xorxes' play looks very superficial and opportunistic. It's a bit of a gut read, I'll be honest. I've played a lot of games with Xorxes.

In the morning I'll re-read him in detail.... assuming I'm still alive, of course.

Foodcoats comes across as towny to me.

Foodcoats have you played mafia or werewolf elsewhere? For a new player you seem to have a good grasp of things.

I think I am obviously town but then it's not obvious to me who is town so I can understand why it's not so clear.

I haven't played before but I read President Eden's strategy guide in the master post, and also read brainbomb's scum guide. However, I'm finding that the level of hidden information - not to mention mention/community knowledge - is so incredibly high that all I can really do is make sure I am providing the best analysis for scumhunting.

Did you think damo was more likely to be scum than worcej when the vote was 4-3 and you moved your vote to RagingIke instead of damo or worcej?

I wasn't sure. My thinking at the time was that if I voted for worcej then damo would also vote for worcej in self defense at the end and that worcej would be lynched, but I was (and still am) pretty sure that DrCJG is scum and I was not at all sure about worcej or damo.

Since worcej was on your list of those you were willing to lynch and damo was not, it looks suspicious that you avoided worcej vs. damo when you had the chance, and switching to RagingIke didn't do anything to lynch DrCJG.

I think you are right, you shouldn't have a good reason to see me as town... I would be very interested if you had a "good reason" to see anyone as any role after D1. Of note, I am not one to "read people," I depend more on analyzing positions, reasoning for positions, and votes. Hence my reason to push people D1 to state positions, give reasons, and vote in a useful way. That said, my votes on Xorxes and Worcej were both very much based on "reading" them... so I would appreciate getting a better understanding of what you think is striking in a comparison of Neph to thdFrance and myself.

Basically I don't see you and thd as scumhunting right now. Obviously my knowledge of how people actually play the game is weak since I'm new, so I may be misinterpreting the work you are doing. But, to me it feels like your approach is loose and passive. Neph is focused and aggressive. (It's also possible this is contributing to misreads and that Neph and I are aggressive because we are new, and more experienced players are more passive to try to avoid being NK'd or something.) I think xorxes is pretty passive, too, but xor's press has demonstrated an evolution and rising and falling states that were compelling. xor just seemed more engaged and direct.

My read on thd is more out of a lack of meaningful contribution, for you it is more like you are trying to play your way out of it and trying to pass off what I see as analysis games as scumhunting, but it's a meaningless show.

Yes, but things happened between my list and that vote: worcej defended himself reasonably well, damo didn't say anything to make me townread him, DrCJG voted for worcej. I did consider voting for worcej, but in the end those three things made me decide against that. I was hoping to get brainbomb on board against DrCJG though, I was not really expecting brainbomb would stick with the Ike vote.

most games I dont read setups in detail because if I get confused its not me lying its just me being oblivious and sometimes I can mech clear myself simply by not reading and being dumb.


other times if I am just messing around and am aware of fake derping I almost always admit.

I wouldve been told in maf chat if phases were shorter than usual.
