After a careful scan of the thread, I am quite puzzled. It seems everyone is looking for who the scums are, but there's no agreement about which characteristics should be considered as indicative. So, it's mostly personal attacks, calls to intuition, and making use of previous knowledge of the players and their styles.
We are doomed, i guess? Any reason for having some faith?

This is a helpful post from Yuuki right here, so I have a few questions, applying Yuuki's own techniques.

Yuuki's guide of Standard scummy behaviours is here to delight your senses:

1) Tunneling: scum tends to tunnel because they know people's real alignments so it's really hard for them to 'fake' change their opinions on others. Townies on the other hand are clueless. Thus, we tend to shift our opinions several times throughout the game and are very rarely completely sure of anything.

@Yuuki: Vaporwave said he was completely convinced that I'm scum, and he won't change his mind no matter what.

What is your opinion on that?

2) Parking the vote on a lurker: another classic scum move is to park the vote on a 'safe' bet like a lurker. This allows them to sit in the sidelines waiting for town to create wagons on themselves while defending their position as voting for lurkers which should be a townie move in theory since lurkers are always bad for town. Real townies however shift their votes often or park it on someone they are trying hard to drive a wagon on because they are convinced on their scumminess.

@ Yuuki: What is the difference between "convinced" and "completely sure" ?

3) Buddying up: scum loves to pick a townie early on to buddy up to to gather goodwill. Townies rarely band together because there is too much suspicion until there are cleared townies.

@Yuuki: I think Temasek engaged in some pretty hardcore buddying of Vecna in the early pages. You also mentioned this in your read of him, so clearly you observed it. This being the case, however, why is your verdict on him "clueless town", when here you've just described buddying as a serious scumtell?

Convinced: you think you are sure, but you are not. Prone to changing in the face of evidence.

Completely sure: backed by evidence.

My opinion on Vaporwave is that right now he is 'convinced' you are scum. That may change over time, but it is really difficult to accuse someone of tunneling on D1.

Oh and regarding Temasek, that may well still be the case but I am not at all sure Vecna is town and that makes me doubt whether this is scum buddying up to a townie. If Vecna is Nked like has been referenced often then Temasek rockets up in the list of possible scum.

However, right now I have changed my mind on him though with subsequent posts as it made me think that he is not buddying to Vecna but rather just playing along with the theme which is something clueless townies looking to enjoy themselves are prone to do.
