Eldritch knight can submit to the GM a person the gladiator will be at odds with for the day. The role is just gladiator with a new name. They choose a person, and although the role says midday, this can be activated anytime up to final 30 minutes of the day, and it will force all votes to be between only eldritch knight or their chosen gladiated foe.

Now if both of these roles happen to activate on the same day, and a person chooses someone to be battle master protected, if the eldritch knight activates and choose some other target the battle master protection is irrelevant anyway as possibly neither person in the battle master chat was chosen to be safe from elimination.

Now IF the gladiator chooses a target, and THEN the battle master decided to protect the person the eldritch knight chose, then regardless of how the voting goes, the battle masters target will not die even if they lose to the eldritch.

Otherwise if the saved battle master target gets the most votes in a duel, they would live and both sides of the duel would live.

If Battle master protects EK, and the target in that duel gets the most votes, the opponent in the duel with most votes would die. if the EK gets the most votes, they would not die and survive the duel due to battle master.
