So far we have:
1. Female.
2. Dead.
3. Not a government leader.
4. Real person.
5. Not known for beauty.
5a. Perhaps famous for actions in or related to military operations, but requires more specificity.
6. Creative artist.
7. Alive during 20th century.
Not: Joan of Arc.

Was she a writer?
Is it Mary Shelley?
Is it Mary Shelley?
The only person you're truly competing against, Wesley, is yourself.

Nicely done. As the originator of this on WD (though that does not imply any authority), I humbly request that we change the rules, if you could please in the next thread:
The rules again are:
1. Only yes/no questions may be asked.
2. If the answer is unclear, questionmaster must clarify why.
3. Guesses do count against the total, so be careful! Once the 20 questions are up, you have three more guesses.
4. Please choose people/movie/TV/literary/video game/etc. characters that, if you were to throw a dart out the window, at least 50% of people hit would know this character. Basically, players should not have to be Googling to figure out who it is, nor should they even be Googling in the first place.
5. Whomever guesses correctly takes over from the previous questionmaster. If they do not want to do it, they may choose who to pass the duty onto or just give it to the first volunteer.
6. If the questionmaster remains undefeated three times in a row, on the third time they must either pass it to a person of their choice, or the first volunteer takes over.
Re: 20 Questions - Game #5
You blink you miss it. Well done.
Concerning the rule-change, I suggest that everyone has one free guess, but after that I think it's more than fair to count it for the questions.
