My goodness, it's over. How are you guys blitzing through these games at such pace? Do none of you have jobs or social lives, haha...

Another one where the correct answer was floating around in my head for a while, but I waited until there were more details.

Free guess: Bede
The Venerable Bede is correct! Among other things, I will point out for the sake of the game that he popularized the use of "Anno Domini" to refer to dates (hence why I made a big deal about that).

OK, so very early medieval European writer, probably not Byzantine because that would have gotten a "yes" or at the very least a "pass" on the Greek or Roman question.
You are correct: this person was not Byzantine for the reason you mentioned.

Also I have to share what came up when I typed in "early medieval writers" (not guessing any of these people):

Is that last guy a distant cousin of the Canadian basketball inventor?

Is a religious canonical text traditionally attributed to this person, even if the actual provenance is disputed (by canonical, I mean a book that is part of a religion's "bible", like Moses; not a treatise on religion, like St. Augustine).
No.

Born in Europe? (Given the time period, I'll specify that I'm using the "green area in wikibox" definition of Europe here.)
Yes.

I'm pretty sure years that are just a number are assumed to be AD, unless the context makes it really clear otherwise.
I was pretty certain that we were counting forward from Anno Domini, but I figured it was important for me in this game to make it clear about AD.

I'm interpreting this as 900 AD, as I think that was the intention. Yes.

Seems we can assume this person was born between 900BC and 900AD. We've asked a lot of questions to get this far but it would be nice to narrow it down even more.

I'd recommend waiting until after 900 is answered, or this question might be wasted
