Many congratulations to cspieker - Our Winter 2017 Champion, after a 2-0 victory over MadMarx in the final! Some fascinating and difficult games were played along the way, with cspieker defeating xorxes, bozotheclown, and SplitDiplomat on his way to a rematch with his group stage conqueror MadMarx in the Final. A hugely deserved victory!

A very big well done should also go to MadMarx for reaching the Final in his debut in this competition. I'm glad this tournament was once again extremely competitive! The next one will begin in May, so get raising your ELO for then :)

MadMarx completes a 2-0 victory over defending champion genghiz to leave both of the top two seeds out of the tournament by the Quarter Final stage!

Ezio also defeats no. 3 seed svkris after a tiebreaker, and SplitDiplomat defeats captainmeme after two tiebreakers, to see us through to the Semi Finals.
