I've never heard of Nelson Keene before this. No.
Nor had I!!

I was just looking for a connection.

WHEW!

The born in Britain, died in Europe, led us down a rabbithole of BRITISH generals and admirals. I figured there would be a connection and only figured it out as I was reading the list of RRHOF inductees.

Excuse me, Damo, but you appear to be implying that there have never been any British scientists.

This seems a bit of a strange thing to assume?
Due to 11. We know born before 1770 but not both that and a scientist.

I would not define the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, etc. as "boy bands", because they were not primarily vocal bands.
Interestingly enough, the Wikipedia page on "Boy Band" that was mentioned earlier in the thread has an entire section on The Beatles and whether they were one or not. Opinions are mixed.

"A boy band is loosely defined as a vocal group consisting of young male singers, usually in their teenage years or in their twenties at the time of formation.".
That definition of "boy band" is frustrating as it would include such groups as the Beatles or Stones (although we already know its not Paul or Ringo as they have the current #1 single; and Mick and Keith have a #1 album this year).
I would not define the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, etc. as "boy bands", because they were not primarily vocal bands. There is a fundamental difference between them and, say, the Backstreet Boys. Otherwise, we would probably have to include most rock bands in the category of boy bands.
