It's intentionally done so you can track when to expect to get points back if the game dropped you below 100. I believe the initial thought was also that after playing in it you'd be curious to continue following it.

Finished games should no longer be in the list on the right side of your screen. Games which you are eliminated from but are still ongoing, remain in that list. I have that problem too..
