Re: 20 Questions Game 251

Was this character first introduced:
- to explicitly advertise some commercial product (example: Ronald McDonald)
- as a mascot for a sports team
- or specifically on the internet in some way (for example, a character that first appeared in a YouTube video)?

(If at least one of those three conditions is met, then answer "yes"; otherwise, answer "no".)

Is this some sort of animal, or being that's clearly supposed to be an animal (including dragons, elves, fairies--but not robots, plants, or someone like Clippy)?
Actually, after thinking, on the assumption that we mean non-human animal, my answer is:

No.
But you already determined that this character is not human. So how can "nonhuman animal" possibly be an important clarification if we've already eliminated humans?

I included elves and fairies as examples, so clearly I was including humanoids in my definition.

By this clarification, my answer would be yes. Thanks for clarifying.

Sorry, meant "we" in that last post. Either way, the answer to my question should have been yes, but it's moot at this point.

Was this character originally introduced in 1990 or earlier?

1,2,4,5. Fictional non-human being
8. Humanoid of some kind
3,5,10. Introduced in 1940 -- 1990
6,7,9. Not first introduced in a book, theatrically-released film, television show, or game; as an advertising or sports mascot; or specifically on the internet

QM - I am not sure if I correctly counted the humanoid/animal questions - please advise if the count is off.

Is this character part of some sort of mythological race that was invented (or at least the name existed) before 1850?

So, an elf would be "yes" but a hobbit would be "no".

No questions for the QM here. I think we need to brainstorm.

What would be a list of possible ways in which this character was first introduced? A song or something on the radio are are possibilities. Can anyone else contribute any more possibilities?
