While I lucid dream, I complete more of my work.

I've never dreamt that i had a lucid dream.

On the other hand you can't be sure, but it also doesn't matter as the expierence is the same. If you 'dream' having conscious control over your dream then you still have the sensation of having conscious control...

How and Ever, remembering this to haplen requires some malfunction - normallyn you can't remember your dreams. There is a mechanism which flushes these expierences out; your brain knows the are fake/simulation and thus doesn't allow them form long-term memories - now while i've got a dream in short-term memory i can wake up and repeat what happened or write it down... Then can, while awake, commit the narrative of a dream (not the dream itself) to memory - but i'll likely get the associated emotions attached to the story.

If you remember a dream it is usually because you woke up; being able to lucidly dream may be a different brain state; i don't know (can someone reference fMRI studies? I know they have studied the brain activity of buddhist monks while meditating) it would be interesting.

I've had a really good dream expierence where i was able to fall back into the dream state without fully waking up. I was aware tha it was a dream but unable to control it, and i was able to let go of that awareness and go back to dreaming... A few times.

Notably, it wasn't an active decision to give up this control, i could have consciously chosen to hold on, but letting go is something where you just let it slip away from you; you can't push the control away; i think because you choosing to active push requires being in conscious control...

I had a most disturbing dream not so long ago when I became aware, or dreamt I became aware, that I was in a dream. It wasn't a particularly exciting dream so I decided I'd wake myself up. I pinched myself, shouted out loud, bit my tongue, and a couple of other things without success, and then read a book (I recalled an old Batman cartoon in which they said a way to know you're dreaming is that books don't make sense) and read a few pages. This convinced me I was in fact awake...

Then I woke up...

Scared the shite out of me!

Naturally. It was on my bookshelf.

You should try reading a book that you've never read before. If it's something you've read before your mind can fill in the blanks since the words are in your head somewhere. If you try something you've never read before it should just be gibberish. It is for me anyways.

I don't often get a chance to read much in dreams. That's been the only time I've ever had reason to, and the only books nearby where ones I'd already read. Come to think of it, though, I've never had a problem reading newspaper headlines or shop signs etc. I've never in my life dreamed of reading gibberish.

I recently had a dream I was playing in a high ghost rating game and I was struggling to pay attention to it, and then it turned out that was because it was a live game and I was at work, and then it turned out to not be a gunboat game and I hadn't sent anyone any messages and I missed a few moves and just really messed the whole game up and I knew that everyone was pissed at me.

Anyone else have any webdip dreams/nightmares?

I've never had a lucid dream that I know of. When I do dream of "flying" it isn't really flying, I'm just able to jump really high which can get really scaring when you realize you are going to crash into the ground, but then you land okay so keep jumping. Occasionally I've dreamed of hovering, but not out right flying.
