Any interest in a 12 hour phase World diplomacy game with Public Press?

I think it would be fascinating. I think public messaging makes things more complicated. Also, you would see everything in the open. Would make it harder to multi... no?

About live games

If the people who joined a live game don't show up, it is the right thing to do, to cancel or draw the game, is not it?
So, today's question is: what is the appropriate name for those who refuse to and, enjoying an unfair advantage achieve an unearned win?
I personally would go with "douchebags".

Bought the game "Dominion" this Christmas for the family. I love strategy board games....*hate* "roll-the-dice-move-your-mice" games. Also own games such as Robo-Rally, Agricola, Pirate's Cove...

Someone in the Commonwealth Governor's School. Haven't I explained this before?
Basically it's the most prestigous school in Virgina that isn't privately funded.

OK, let's have King Atom's first AP Maths class.

The Commonwealth Governor’s School offers a rigorous program of study to students from following school divisions, Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania and Stafford.

Add the counties' population to find out the rough estimate of student pool from which the program's participants may be drawed.

Bonus question 1: Multiply the result by the average ratio of children in age eligible for the program to the overall population in the USA.

Bonus question 2: Look through the registers to find out the actual amount of possible participants. Is this number significantly different from your bonus result?

King George - 23,891
Spotsylvania - 122,397
Stafford - 128,961
Caroline - 28,245 (from 2012)

Our base schools are stationed in those counties. We have students driven in from buses from the following counties:
Culpeper, Orange, Caroline, Spotsylvania, Staford, King George.
And you forget that only partains to the northeast Governor's School Division.
There are five others, ours is the second most prestigous...

Northeast is where you live and what you attend so no interest in anything else. I wonder how could your program fall from the top spot stop in prestige during 2 hours but no problem with that. Oh wait, Thomas Jefferson and Langley are public AND are actual schools AND are actually prestigious! But wait, some U.S. News & World Report cannot challenge the judgement of such an intellectually superior being like Atom Foltz.

Has anyone else noticed

That the number of CD players has skyrocketed the past few days. There went from being about 100 open games to nearly 140. Are there a lot of multi's being banned or are people just leaving games as soon as they get in a tight spot?

Just to be clear on the rules

Can two units of your own completely switch places without bumping? For example, you've got an army in Norway and a fleet in Sweden... can you order the fleet to Norway and the army to Sweden without them bumping or are they going to bump?

Do conservatives make better Diplomacy players?

One would think so. A certain amount of ruthlessness is needed, so does having a "me first" political ideology give one a heads up in that area?

Alternatively, are liberals more successful at forcing a draw in WTA? By the same token, one could assume that they would be more successful at sacrificing their own potential for the greater good. Thoughts?

Well, basically, I have the idea that in terms of diploming (in FTF, mostly) that it might be better to wait for someone else to approach you with an idea, rather than approaching someone else to discuss something. Thoughts?

Starting time, remaining time

For some reason, here in my Chrome browser all the games are marked as "Starting: Now" and while IN the game, I can't see the remaining time because it just say "Next: Now". How can I solve it?Thx

Game dont starts after Server-change

Hello together,

the Game http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=63805 didnt start yet after the server-change. Only because two persons dont push unpause- I think they are inactive. Is it possible to unpause it?
