World Diplomacy IX, Anonymous players, Survivors-Win Scoring

Game won by Macchiavelli (2376 D)
26 Aug 11 UTC Spring, 2004: [China]:Woo! Go Quebec! Also, PR, now is clearly the time for you to stab India. Free Delhi :).
01 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Europe]:All of Pacific Russia's neighbors are either dying or dead, yet other players are rushing to work with him. Why?
01 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Pacific-Russia]:Thats not true at all.
Oz is alive and flourishing.
Canada is alive and flourishing.
Near-East is alive, and growing if not quite flourishing.

Russia told me that if I didnt give him West Siberia, he would "start a suicidal war" against me. Now, I am trying to prove him correct.

And Russia is, as you can all see, the only player (soon, with the exception of Europe) who I am atacking.
And I will only attack Europe because he decided to start a war against me.

Seems the smart thing to do would be to ally with me, rather than against me.
These games almost always end in draws...
01 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Pacific-Russia]:And, Europe, I'd appreciate it if you would refrain from swearing at me in private chat.
01 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Europe]:Refrain from swearing? I dropped a 3 letter word that exactly describes the way you treat others in this game. Quebec I'm sure loves that you're taking care of him, but your speech makes it clear you care little of him.
01 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Europe]:You have no alliances, you have stepping stones. Oz and Canada also are not immediate neighbors to you either.
01 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Europe]:Either way, Libya has absolutely outplayed me. I took a few too many risks and I've paid the price. Now however, I will do everything in my power to save Russia so someone else can take main stage and defeat you.
01 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Russia]:If we're going to get our facts straight, I did no such thing. Our conversation was very lengthy and may have ended with me saying that I had no choice but to attack you, but I tried to reason with you and you refused me. Your summary of the situation is entirely inaccurate.

As for people swearing, you made personal insults to me unprovoked. I would appreciate if that didn't happen again if we're going to make requests. :)
01 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Russia]:With you unwilling to reasonably negotiate, I felt I had no real chance at surviving for any length of time. You treated me very poorly in my dealings with you despite the fact that I remained civil. I have chosen to occupy your forces for as long as I can in hopes that your other neighbors will grow strong enough to fight you, but I have never had much power or positioning in this game. I will continue to do my best. Europe's accusations are correct, though. You, sir, are a rude player.
01 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Pacific-Russia]:Russia - I can copy/paste from private chat where you said you'd make a suicidal war on me if i didnt give you west sib. Denying that is as effective as denying gravity.

I get it. You two are mad because I'm killing you. Thats fine.
All I ask is that you keep the lies and swearing out of it.
01 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Russia]:I have not denied that the war against you is suicidal and that West Siberia had much to do with it, but our negotiations were much more complex than that and my original position far more reasonable than a simple ultimatum. I am not mad. This is a game. I simply request that you don't act like a brute and treat other players with respect. We are here to have fun.
01 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Pacific-Russia]:wow- you two have a lot of pent up emotions, clearly.
Let me adress some of the complaints.

Europe - you called me an asshole. Thats not a 3 letter word. As I said, I appreciate you're mad, but lets keep it respectful.

Europe - it sounds like you are upset because...I am playing diplomacy. You're upset because my speech indicates I don't "care about" quebec? Really? You're upset because I'm not emotionally invested in you guys?

Russia - I'm rude? Perhaps you should invest in a mirror, or perhaps even re-read your notes to me. You deliver ultimatums and then get angry when I dont submit.

Both of you - global chat is not a good place to throw temper tantrums.
Do you really think the other 14 players here want to read all of this spam just because you are upset over a stab?
01 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Europe]:My goal bringing this up in Global is to try to make sure that others know that entering into an alliance/truce/deal with you means that they'll be treated like dirt and if they go against you then you'll make inaccurate claims. There is no Diplomacy with you, it's either your way or the highway while you make snide remarks about others' moves.
01 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Russia]:I simply spoke up to defend myself against your inaccurate claims regarding me. You were the one who made me a subject of global chat. It you wish to retract your statement and deal with things in a more mature way, I have nothing else to say. I think the other players, however, will see that no temper tantrum was thrown from my side of the field. The harsh words have not come from me. Good day.
01 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Europe]:You can make all the arrogant, demeaning, and insulting comments that you want in private chat. But that doesn't mean that we're just going to die peacefully and let you win.
01 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Pacific-Russia]:wow- you two have a lot of pent up emotions, clearly.

01 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Russia]:And yes, Europe speaks true again. Pacific Russia is not a fruitful ally to invest your trust in. A very greedy fellow, he is. He looks only for his own profit and not the health of an alliance. Yet he is in the position of power and I am not. I can only hope someone is in a better position than I to do something about it later on.
01 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Pacific-Russia]:oops - didnt mean to resend that. damn "refresh" button...

Russia - My claims were totally accurate, and as i said, the proof is in the private chat. However, as you say, it is more mature to deal with this by ending the tirade.

Europe - I was never your ally. I was russia's ally. That ended when HE declared war on ME. All i told you was that libya is a better player than you - and he is.

You called me an asshole - do you not have the ability to measure which of those statements is worse?

As I stated earlier, the other players don't want to hear you griping.
If other players don't like the way i treat them, they will tell me, or "mute" me.
01 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Europe]:I'm leaving this alone because you're clearly not getting it. I'm just hoping that the other players here are able to realize you're toxic.
01 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Pacific-Russia]:*mute
02 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Near-East]:europe, russia shut up in global with your bullshit
02 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Near-East]:russia is very aggressive, even with his allies, "to this or die". europe, i tried twice to work with you, but you just play of a senseless vengeance against PR that nobody understands here

02 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2005: [Near-East]:iam sorry, send it only once, dont understand, had to reload page
06 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2006: [China]:South America looks so pretty.
06 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2006: [Frozen-Antarctica]:i know :-)
14 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2008: [Oz]:Sadly, Oz votes for a draw before PR gobbles him up. Oh, Canada, where art thou now?
15 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2008: [Quebec]:Parting is such sweet sorrow. I invite all to Osama Bib Bye-Bye VI
20 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2009: [China]:Interesting. The way I see it, Oz and FA are allied, PR and Canada are allied, Libya's allied with everybody, and Kenya and NE are hanging on for dear life. Is that about right? Are y'all just waiting for NE and Kenya to die for 100 each?
20 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 2009: [Pacific-Russia]:I wish i was allied with everybody
21 Sep 11 UTC Spring, 2010: [Libya]:There is also Europe still left!
21 Sep 11 UTC Spring, 2010: [China]:Yeah, but it says that Europe's a "left" whatever that means. It should be illegal to discriminate based on politics. No wait, you can discriminate here; it's not tied in to national (US) commerce.
02 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 2013: [Oz]:Bra-Ven, Peru-Col. Everywhere else hold. Want something else different?
02 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 2013: [Oz]:Hello world!
02 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 2013: [Pacific-Russia]:no, that works.
actually, wait.
move bra-sao, peru-chi
02 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 2013: [Frozen-Antarctica]:why not moving to West Siberia and Yakutsk???
03 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 2013: [Oz]:Canada, I have never seen someone cut support with a convoyed army. That was pretty sweet.
Draw time? No one is making much progress, if any.
11 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 2015: [Frozen-Antarctica]:I hate connectivity problems...
13 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 2016: [Frozen-Antarctica]:since more then 2 hours it is not possible to fill in orders in my World Diplomacy IX games. There is only the message "Loading order...""

... but nothing happens. Reload, Reconnect and Restart of game, browser, internetconnection or computer do not change anything so I guess the problem is not local...
13 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 2016: [Frozen-Antarctica]:ah... Browserproblem... changing broser can help :-)
14 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 2016: [Pacific-Russia]:Hey guys

16 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 2017: [Frozen-Antarctica]:I hate my provider... allways problems... where are my moves (again)...
16 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 2017: [Frozen-Antarctica]:PR without two times no moves we would play for ever...
16 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 2017: [Pacific-Russia]:no, we wouldnt
it would take a little longer, but i've been making gains every year, including the years you did submit moves

16 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 2017: [Frozen-Antarctica]:I love vodaphone :-(
